I agree that his was PM's best looking game of the year - a few off passes, but much better than the previous 4 games IMO


The biggest concern for me with this team is red zone efficiency. KC is #30 in scoring TD's once reaching the red zone and that is horrible for a team this talented. Obviously that is nick picking, but really want to see some TD's rather FG's once in the red zone.

Yeah, the red zone stuff is WILD to me. And we're going on about 2.5 years of this now. It's crazy how I watch so many mediocre teams regularly punch it in or throw it in from 3 or the 5 or the 7 yard line but the second the Chiefs get inside the 5 they are completely inept. I made a comment yesterday that I was hoping Kelce would get a TD and not on a stupid inside shovel. And what do they do...the stupid inside shovel that worked a few times back in like 2021-22.

7 times in the red zone yesterday...one TD. And yes, JuJu should have caught the pass and the narrative would be way different with 331 yards and 1 TD and 0 INT. But still. How can we not get a receiver open in the end zone. Or better yet, if they are open why can't Mahomes find them. If they could figure out their red zone whoas they would be winning by 14+ again every game.

But who are the hobby dollars going to? The only answer would be Jayden Daniels. That's it. I don't think anyone is throwing money at Burrow or Herbert or Josh Allen at this point. Maybe Lamar a little although people are getting sick of being burned every single year by his playoff implosion. Mahomes may not have the stats, but if they can somehow make it to 9-0 or 10-0 I think that's enough to keep his trajectory up (I think they will lose to SF off the bye though).

As someone who actually collects Mahomes, his trajectory upward has been slow and steady year after year after year.

My long time staple, the 2017 Optic has been hard to come by.

PSA 9s are at their highest most stable price point aside from some Rona spikes here and there.

Nothing of quality comes up anymore, at least raw. No GU except a unicorn, no more Patty ink in new product. Crappy to be a Patty buyer. Sad, sad.

This was a classic knock on Brady by several people over the years (not just the mahomies)

The shoe is on the other foot right now. I don't want to say the defense is carrying the Chiefs, but they are playing a HUGE part.

Anyway, if the sealed prices are close to asking, even though I pulled all of those Mahomes, I should have just kept the case sealed it appears. In fact, it appears I would have enough for 2 new cars and enough party favors to hang with Jabrill Peppers and his girl.

there have been several sales of the retail box on ebay between $1400-$1800 per box.

I'm not finding any sale prices for a hobby box.

I would estimate about $2200-$2300+ for hobby.


Strongly considering selling my retail box and maybe putting that money towards a hobby box, but it's my only one.


edit: The lowest ASKING price for hobby on ebay is $3495 OBO. Too much $$$ for me. I'll stick to my one retail and two "collector's" optic boxes

2nd edit: The collectors boxes seem like a btter deal with the two bronze auto's per box IMO----but not sure if collectors like the bronze auto's.

How do you have confidence to ever purchase another high end box again? There's no way I'd touch expensive wax with the all the imaging scandals. Can't buy cards from a ton of sellers and can't buy wax at all, the amount of fraud in this "hobby" is sad.

However, as others have said, this will likely be a severe down year counting stats wise for patty. Unless something magically happens when the injured guys come back.

The defense, as always, has been fantastic. They have given up 29 total points in the second half through 5 games, which is absolutely ridiculous. The defense has been some of the best I've seen in the last few years.

As for last nights game, when you consider he had 350+ yards, completed 72% of his passes, a 50 yard PI, a TD called back bc of a hold, and another that was dropped in the endzone, it was a very good game in terms of quality of play. Especially when his top wide receivers were Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, two guys that were cut from bad teams.

As for the team, they're in an amazing spot. 5-0 after making it through what's probably the most important stretch of the schedule. Adding to it, there's only one 4-1 team, and just four 3-2 teams (10 of the 16 teams in the AFC are under .500).

From an injury standpoint, Pacheco and Omenihu are due back in the next month or so. That could end up adding some good depth to the RB room and Dline. The piece that'll still need to be addressed is wide receiver. This is where they'll have to decide to make a more or not. The upside would be if they would be willing to part with a 3rd rounder for a guy like Amari Cooper, Deandre Hopkins, or Dionte Johnson. The possibility of adding one of those guys, as well as the chance that Hollywood Brown comes back for the playoffs with fresh legs, has me optimistic that if the big 3 of Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones can stay healthy, the team can be primed for another run come January.

Kareem is running strong (although he did only average 3.8 yesterday but seemed to pick up all the key first downs when needed). No chance he becomes the starter, right? I would think he becomes the instant #2 and Perrine gets relegated to a few snaps a game?

Sadly, I'll never buy a nice box again after learning about that. I'm surprised the high end unopened market hasn't tanked honestly.

If Pacheco comes back healthy, I think it just becomes more committee based. They divide up the snaps and try to have a little less wear and tear on the backs.

Also an update: The Chiefs now have 119 running back carries this year. The longest of those carries has gone 11 yards.
