Still a little shady you had to reach out to them instead of them reaching out to you, but we gotta take what we can get for honest buyers at this point.

Buyer opened a case for "item not received" from a January 26th purchase...tracking shows updates until February 5th and then stopped in "transit".

Am I SOL? What's the best path forward for me? It's the first time I've had to deal with this and unsure of what to do. I'd rather not refund a $50 card because I assume it'll eventually get there but I also don't want a mark on my eBay either.

i've been getting a lot of "return to sender, unable to forward" envelopes back while tracking number says it was delivered, sometimes to people i've sent to before with the same address. so annoying.

Reply to the complaint with the tracking number. Wait to refund until the day before the date that eBay tells you the complaint must be resolved by. If there is any further update to tracking, eBay will extend the resolve by date. You can try to file a lost mail complaint with the USPS, that will sometimes get things moving.

Which card is it in question? Reason I ask is that your sales history shows no sales for a $50 card on 1/26.

Ope - sorry, it was January 24th. It was the Chourio /25. Essentially though - if I refund and then it gets delivered I am SOL?

It's possible you would be SOL. That would depend on if the buyer is honest enough to let you know, then repay.....and if it should get delivered after you refund you could always let eBay know....they might cover your loss with their slush fund....buyer gets the card and your refund, but at least you wouldn't be out. That is why you should wait to refund until the day before the date that eBay gives you to resolve by....give it every chance to update/deliver before you do anything.

eBay shows the estimated date of delivery for the Chourio is between 2/13 and 2/18....I didn't think a buyer could file an INR case until after the eBay estimated date of delivery has passed.

Delivered to your zip code, or the buyers?

I'm going to call support to see if they can extend. I think original delivery date was 2/1-2/3.

That would be the way to go....eBay can move the resolve by date. Maybe the delivery is going to a location known for delays due to weather or something else.

Something's going on with the Indianapolis hub. I've had multiple packages sit there for a week recently.

They had 3 distribution hubs and shut down two of them. PO's are still taking packages to the two hubs that are shut down and they are not moving from there.

You can go ahead and file an insurance claim with the usps. I’d wait for this to be approved before refunding. Ground advantage is insured up to $100. I would not refund until approved though, if it gets another scan or delivered the claim would be denied. These have been getting approved within 2-3 days.

returned to me/my zip code (i'm the seller). it makes it to the destination post office, then for some reason they can't deliver it. i'm not sure if i should just reprint another label or let the buyer know and refund them.

Got it. I will do this route. I actually called support and they told me to call back on the 14th and ask for an extension. Last movement would be (2/5) and they don’t refund until tracking hasn’t been updated for 10 days. That would be the 9 day mark for me.

Had an ESE sent back to me telling me that I need to pay more for the label. It was a single card in a semi-rigid, in a #9 envelope, and I paid for the 1oz. label. Never had that happen before. I assume it fell in front of someone who has no idea what it was.

Dropped off some more packages today at the post office The postmaster said that in Indianapolis they have fully closed one distribution facility and now we’re just down to two. There is mail still going to the one that is not operating but delays coming out of Indianapolis should be a little bit less at this point. I am not sure why they figured that they needed to shut down two distribution centers for a city like Indianapolis.

I recently had a buyer purchase 2 cards from me less than 24 hours apart (Jan 17th & 18th) so I put them in the same package then dropped off at the PO on the 20th.

Both cards were 2006 Bowman Chrome Marques Colston RC BGS 9 Raw Card Review. He bought one at full price ($3) and the next day bought one on sale for $1.50.

Buyer opens "item not received" case on the 28th so I upload tracking that shows its on the way. The very next day he opens a case on the other card that was purchased and sent in the same mailer. I even tried to explain this to no avail.

When I uploaded the same tracking number to the 2nd card it doesnt show movement even though its in the same mailer.

I ask them to be patient as it can take 10-14 days for ESE envelopes to arrive but he doesn't like that answer and wants his card right now.

The package is delivered on Feb 1st and one case is closed on my behalf but they issue a refund for the other card even though it was in the same mailer.

Is it possible to transfer ESE tracking from one item to the next if its the same buyer? If not that is a glaring loophole for buyers to exploit.

Thank you for your time and any replies.

Sounds like you didn't combine the orders when you printed the label. If that's the case, you're SOL. That's why, if a buyer buys one card and then another later, I ship them in two seperate envelopes.

When he purchased the 2nd card for $1.50, did you copy and paste the tracking number from the first card into that auction? I have never had a problem doing that and the tracking has always worked on both, but putting it into your answer after he filed the complaint could be why you are SOL.

Yes, I copied the tracking number to the other purchase right after printing the label.
Clicked on the # just a few minutes ago and it shows nothing. Oh well it was only $1.50. ESUS239464060 ESUS239464060

Instead of adding the tracking # manually;

1 In your seller hub--)items awating shipment, highlight the two items.

2) Up at the top under the shipping tab click get shipping label.

3) Once in bulk lables, highlight and click combine orders.

4) Print as usual.

This automatically adds the tracking # to both items. I don't know that I've had that exact issue, but I've had plenty where I've had to file the PIP insurance and it has always paid out both items with no hassle.

While you're at it, be sure and block that buyer.

Update on this card. Still showing no movement since 2/5...had to be resolved by 2/14. eBay gave it a 10 day extension themselves since I provided shipping information.

Is PIP still paying for cards that show as delivered but have not been? I have a customer claiming he hasn't received his card, and it shows as delivered on February 8th. I don't want to refund him if PIP is not paying out on cards that show as delivered, but may not have been. Thanks
