It's not just the government throwing money to them. It's about the government realizing that they are a giant reason why the USPS has issues. Maybe if Congress got their act together and said the USPS is a 100% federal agency or not would help. This nonsense of it being a quasi-governmental agency is BS. Either they control their future and fund themselves or Congress does and Congress gives them the appropriate funding. Not rocket science here.
It is not as simple as that. As I mentioned pages back, international agreements also come into question when considering the overall costs of the postal service.

Fair enough. I’m for the former. Government stays out of the way and lets USPS handle its business. Postage should cost more.

In October 2018, Q identified Kevin Klinesmith (the FBI lawyer that altered the email about Carter Page to get the FISA renewals) as a future person to get justice and explains why it takes a long time to take down the system that would allow such corruption.

Use Logic and Critical Thinking to Understand Why the Wheels of Justice Move Slowly

How do you ensure those prosecuted [non military] would receive an impartial judgement based on the RULE OF LAW?
Think Federal Judge rulings [obstruction] [POTUS’ granted CONSTITUTIONAL authority].
How do you ensure 'appeals' to the U.S. Supreme Court are evaluated impartially > based on the RULE OF LAW?
Think Justice K (5 to 4).

A lawyer working under Mueller just plead guilty to altering docs about Carter Page to continue massive spying on the Trump Presidency. This is huge confirmation of what Q has talked about. Another supposed "conspiracy" that has been proven true.
"Kevin deeply regrets having altered the email," his attorney, Justin Shur, said in an email. "It was never his intent to mislead the court or his colleagues as he believed the information he relayed was accurate. But Kevin understands what he did was wrong and accepts responsibility."

How do you do this and then claim it wasn't done with the intent of misleading the court? What else would be the in tent?

I like the way you think onions!

Unfortunately, there are too many powerful people in charge so a sensible idea like this will never fly.

Except for business and essentials, I never understood why it is SO important to get mail everyday.

It's an antiquated and out of touch service, and it needs to change. And this is coming from the son of a mailman.

Anytime you have a group of people collectively unhappy with the state of their own lives and unable to affect meaningful change within them, they collectively constitute the perfect target to fall under the thrall of some mysterious benefactor that tells them they are "special" and offers them (and only them) the secrets of the universe, or some such. This con game has taken many forms as has been going on for a long time. What's unusual here is that one as overtly stupid as QAnon caught on so quickly and with so many.

There is no intent except to deceive. The CIA sends an email confirming that Carter Page is working for them. Clinesmith alters the email so it says that Carter Page does not work for the CIA. How could you believe that was accurate when you changed it to mean the exact opposite?

And this is no small thing. It allowed a secret court to give continued permission to spy on Carter Page, any direct person Page contacted and any people that the direct people communicated with. This is a huge swath of people that the FBI was allowed the most intrusive spying techniques possible to gather information and certainly included everyone in the Trump campaign.

You do realize that the issue with all these proposals you are making are the SAME ISSUES that keep the USPS from being profitable.

First off, why should the USPS turn a profit? The military doesn't. Medicare/Medicaid doesn't. Pretty sure Social Security doesn't. Yet, the USPS for some reason has to.

So let's back it up though. For the USPS to make pretty much any major change, it has to go through Congress. Congress, not wanting to piss off their constituents, makes it almost impossible to raise rates to where they need to be. Like I said, which nobody has addressed yet, is that if FedEx or UPS want to make more money, they increase prices. The USPS does not have that luxury so they've not only been losing money (which why does that even matter, they're not a public company) but have not been able to make the kinds of investments they need to to be up with the times.

Honestly, we're getting nowhere. Anyone who doesn't realize that the government is THE LARGEST REASON why the USPS "doesn't turn a profit" is really ignoring the large, purple elephant that resides in the corner of the room.

How the USPS became a political football is insane to me. Everyone should be in agreement on this.

A conspiracy theorist dies and goes to heaven. He gets to meet God and ask one question. He asks “who really killed JFK?” God answers, “He died from gunshot wounds fired by Lee Harvey Oswald from the 6th floor of the Texas Book Depository”. He acted alone.” The conspiracy theorist says “wow, this goes up higher than I thought.”

It'll never happen because of how may people in this country rely on the USPS. What's insane to me are the people who think they should be like FedEx or UPS. You live 30 miles in the middle of nowhere in Idaho? That'll be $50 to ship a letter with FedEx please. USPS? That'll be $.50. See where they provide an insanely good service for a reasonable price? That is why the government should be picking up the check here and giving the USPS what it needs to be a functional and future thinking organization.

To get it running effectively is eventually going to hit our taxes. Which is fine. I’d rather have a good PO than three Tomahawk missles.

I look at it like this. Things like this, that benefit millions of people directly, deserve our tax dollars. The USPS, the library, and schools, have a direct impact on us. Having strong systems in place that are future ready make the country future ready. Compared to some of the other areas of spending, we should be able to spend what is needed to ensure the country's future.

High school football will be playing in 96% of Republican led states and 32% of Democratic led states.

Just shows how political COVID has gotten, on all sides.

And this is why it's dumb that you have people ARGUING against funding the postal service, in an election year, in the midst of a global pandemic. It's crazy how there are people out there who DON'T want you to vote. We should want every single person who is allowed to vote, to vote. If there was 100% turnout and the party that I disliked got the win, I'd be disappointed that my party lost, but overjoyed at the turnout. The people who are so dead set on winning that they'll cut corners to do so is ridiculous. There is no widespread evidence to support that mail-in voting is riddled with fraud.

Never mind that states just willy nilly close polling stations or you have State Secretaries purging electoral rolls without reason or warning. Just in Ohio, we had over 100,000 purged from the records because they didn't vote. That's so stupid. It's your right to vote, and being denied that because you didn't exercise it prior is just dumb. You don't see people in favor of restricting access to a gun because you didn't buy one first chance you could.

And how do you propose they do that? And stop blaming the media for making it political. Left, right, and center should all be for giving the USPS what they need to get this election done and done on time. Yet I see divisions on how to handle the USPS. If you're afraid that you'll lose an election because more people voted, then maybe you have a really awful platform or are out of touch with the populace. I cannot believe people don't realize this.

If they are inactive, purge them. Most of them are probably dead, fraud, or a bunch of college kids that participated in a voter reg. drive that never planned to vote anyways. How often do they do this?

I think I live in the only state does not require us to register to vote. Do you guys have to re-register every few years, like renewing a drivers license?

Unless I missed it, I don't recall this being an issue in 2016, 2012, 2008, so on and so forth. Why is this such an issue, now?
