Same here. When I order cards, which is the most exciting and important mail I get, I forget about them unless they don’t show up for like a month. None of my mail is time sensitive. I pay all of my bills online. If USPS can save some money by delivering on fewer days, I’m all for it.

It should really be de-unionized and pensions done away with. Do those two things aren’t we aren’t talking about Post Office issues anymore.

Why stop Saturday mail service? That would make 2 days in a row without it. I'd rather see something like Wednesday rather than Saturday.
I understand how a week day might effect businesses but I just can't imagine it causing that much of a problem.

This allowed the FBI to continue spying on him for being a “Russian asset” as well as the rest of the Trump campaign. Q actually talked about the spying and FISA corruption quite a bit.

"Q" hasn't posted anything in weeks now.
Could be his mom took his computer away again.
Or maybe he just traded it for a dirt bike.

Relax, dude.

The first version of the Washington Post's headline called Baghdadi "terrorist-in-chief", before it was changed to "austere religious scholar at the helm of Islamic State". Vice president of communications Kristine Coratti Kelly said the headline "should never have read that way and we changed it quickly".
It now reads, ""Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, extremist leader of Islamic State, dies at 48."

R.I.P. to Robert Trump.
Condolences to the President and the rest of his family.

Wages were not stagnant.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/13/work...ing-wages.html

What has set this rise apart is that it’s the first time during an economic recovery that began in mid-2009 that the bottom half of earners are benefiting more than the top half — in fact, about twice as much, according to calculations by Goldman Sachs. The trend began in 2018 and has continued into this year, and could be signaling a stronger economy than many experts think.

Saturday's stay, can't get rid of that today with how things are with UPS, FedEx, and Amazon. I'd say it would be nice if the USPS had more control over prices and didn't have to go to Congress for approval. I'd also say it's time to stop this whole concept of funding the pension up front for employees. At the end of the day though, a cheap and reliable way to send mail and packages should be something that is in the best interest of the people and should be given what they need by the government. I don't understand why there is any debate or disagreement about that.

I’m just throwing out what I’m willing to compromise. If I got mail once a week I wouldn’t mind, other than the fact that I’d need a bigger mailbox. And as Onions suggested, mail service doesn’t have to stop entirely. Upcharge for off day delivery. Make exceptions and deliver to businesses on those days. I dunno... I just think “throw money at it” is the worst solution regardless of the problem. Efficiency and sacrifice (compromise) should be entertained before “how many billions will it take?”

Cut a delivery date, you also cut revenue. It's not like only expenses decrease when you cut services. And there'd still be plenty of people working even if they cut a day a week. Honestly, I'd like to know what the impact would be if they went to seven days a week.

Also, we throw money at all kinds of things that don't even have the same personal impact that the USPS has. I really don't want to hear it when it comes to pinching pennies in terms of the USPS. It's too important to so many people and millions of people rely on it. It's not something that should be in such dire straights. It's as if people in the government wish it'd go away so we just had UPS and FedEx.

The whole USPS system is broken. More money won't fix it. Changing the way they employee people, pay people, handle day-to-day business, will.

No other company hires thousands of temporary workers to do a majority of their job. Take a city, segment it evenly, and hire full-time people to run those routes. Each PO may have a floater or two that will need to run a route when a full-time person is out. You know, handle it like 99.9% of businesses in this country.

Bump it up to seven days if that makes more money. Like I said... I don’t know what the exact problem is besides “not enough money.” Is Saturday helping or hurting? Increase postage rates. “More tax money” is the lazy solution. The switch to zero emissions vehicles will save big $ in the long run. Significantly better fuel efficiency, which is important for a vehicle that does so much stop and go, and reduced maintenance costs.

I don’t care about other things receive needless funding. Let’s focus on one for maybe the first time ever instead of “but what about that over there.” Going in circles and always trying to look in the other direction leads to nowhere.

You do know that if the USPS wants to increase prices on services it has to go before Congress right? UPS or FedEx needs to increase prices, boom, they just do it. USPS wants to increase the price of a stamp from $.50 to $.55 and it gets shot down in Federal Court (link). They also lose money because they have to pre-fund retirement costs, which no other government agency has to do (link).

It's not just the government throwing money to them. It's about the government realizing that they are a giant reason why the USPS has issues. Maybe if Congress got their act together and said the USPS is a 100% federal agency or not would help. This nonsense of it being a quasi-governmental agency is BS. Either they control their future and fund themselves or Congress does and Congress gives them the appropriate funding. Not rocket science here.

Seems like the more they work, the more money they lose. Micheal Scott Paper Co. would be proud. I am no economist, but the law of diminishing returns seems to apply. The same amount of mail would flow through the system regardless.

Imagine if the garbage man came to collect our trash as often as they deliver our mail? Instead of my $25/month charge, it would be $150+ and the exact same amount of trash would be created and collected. There would also be 6x the amount of collectors and trucks on the road.

Deliver first class 3 days a week, Priority, Express, no changes. Upcharge first class letters to $0.79 or something to ensure off day delivery. Pay fewer people to do the same amount of work. Fix the pension issues. Make profits.

It’s just tough when rents in Phoenix are rising 9% every year. But yes, states minimum wages increases are showing an effect

So with a economy in the crapper we can have people out of jobs who can't afford rent either and no wages because there are no jobs?

If that means cutting money, guess I'm the bad guy.
Only way it makes sense to cut Saturday deliver is to help try to plug the holes from the massive losses the USPS are already taking. Maybe add funding to the USPS there is plenty of crap we can cut from other areas of govt to move to the USPS.

I'm not talking about closing post offices. Keep them open. Hell, the PO in my little town is only open from like 730am to 130pm, and they still take an hour and a half lunch.

I agree but I’d extend it to all government employees including military (and especially Congress). There is no reason for these pensions.

No pensions and no unions in any tax payer funded jobs/careers.

1) Any good military intelligence psyop is going to include disinformation to throw off enemies. So yes, some things are intentionally wrong. But if everything Q said was wrong, Q would not have a following.

2) For two years Q has talked about the Carter Page FISA warrant being approved even though the Steele Dossier was funded by the DNC/Clintons, was based on unverified data and they knew Carter Page was not a Russian asset. A lawyer working under Mueller just plead guilty to altering docs about Carter Page to continue massive spying on the Trump Presidency. This is huge confirmation of what Q has talked about. Another supposed "conspiracy" that has been proven true.
