Here is the message at the bottom of your claim request receipt:

"Please do not reply to this message.
If we have not responded to your claim within 3 weeks of filing, you may fill out the status request form of your claim at https://www.pipinsure.com/claim-status/."

I have also had luck with clicking on the "Chat Now" link in the lower right hand corner...talked to a live person....fixed within 48 hours.

Question for the group. I shipped a card ESE and it showed as delivered on 10-15 (Tuesday). Buyer messages me today saying they did not receive the card even though it shows as delivered. What would be my best path here to ensure the insurance claim is approved? I have not had this particular situation occur before.

From what has been said in some other postings they are not covering delivered now. If buyer files claim just load tracking.

This^^^.

Just upload tracking that shows "Delivered".....eBay will find in your favor and remove any feedback left for the transaction. When/if buyer complains to eBay they will likely get a one time courtesy refund from the eBay slush fund. No real need to have any interaction with the buyer.

I know this is the ESE eBay shipping thread, but does anyone have any advice on the best way to ship a Mega Box?

I had a first for me today.

A buyer opened an INR case for an ESE item after 7 days as there was only an acceptance scan at my local hub and no movement since. I explained how ESE typically has less scans via the case, and of course no response.

eBay gave 4 days until escalation and I actually received an automated notification from eBay today the item received a delivery scan while the case was still open. They'll auto-close the case after 24 hours if the buyer has no additional concerns.

Once the case is closed, my plan is to also block the buyer since they were so quick to open a case.

I have heard about mixed results....some get thru without issues, some arrive with postage due or get returned to sender for additional postage. Apparently some post office locations consider them too rigid, so if you do choose to use them you should ship everything using the 3oz rate.

Someone from Puerto Rico sent me an offer on one of my listings that has ESE shipping. Before I accept can I still send this in a PWE for under $1 like I would anywhere else in the US? Thanks.

You should be able to, as long as they have their address set up with "US" as the country and "PR" as the state.

Yep, should be good to go. You wouldn't be allowed to print an ESE label if their address wasn't set up correctly.

I'm getting more than usual Return to Sender for extra postage the last few weeks.

Has anyone simply thrown a regular stamp on the ebay label in these situations?

Do you ship with 1 oz, 2 oz, or 3 oz?

Just 1 and 2oz depending on cards.

Both have been sent back more frequently lately.

Top loader, 6.5x4.5 cardboard mailer.

I've sent about 1000 like this over the last year, but just the last month has been way worse.

My opinion.....

The 1oz or 2oz rate does not cover the cost of non-machinable envelopes. Top loaders and/or cardboard mailers have always been too rigid to pass thru the sorting machines, even though many(if not most), have gone thru in the past. It's possible the USPS is cracking down and treating these as they are supposed to.

That is kind of where I'm leaning as well.

In that case back to my original question, is throwing a stamp on the ebay label when returned and dropping it back off enough? Even though in most instances the stamp will be more postage cost than requested, I'm just looking to find out if that has worked for anyone in the past?

When it has happened to me, my local post office has put an exact amount strip on the envelope, not a stamp. You should probably ask a postal clerk at your local post office to confirm, and maybe bump your ESE shipping up to the 3oz rate.

Well, thanks to the delightful workers at the USPS, I'd say 85% of returns to me have just the sticker for more postage and the line where it states how much extra is needed is left blank.

So thats fun.

I have had a 100% success rate with what some others in this thread have posted.

Print a 2oz ESE label onto a #10 envelope
2 cards max in a Card Saver I
Graded card sleeve to seal the Card Saver
Roll a small loop of tape to hold the card in one corner of the envelope. This allows the envelope to meet the "bend in the middle" rule.
