Nice pickups. I grabbed a 2018 Heritage Chrome /999, 2018 Allen & Ginter silver glossy, and A 2018 archives Snap shots.

Was gonna grab the 2025 Sapphire image variation as Im doing that complete run from 2018 - on, but got snipped right at the last second on that one tonight.

Thanks for the response! Follow Ohtani's card to a degree but never dealt with a card that has appreciated so much since being pulled in 2018. Is there any incentive in the original redemption card itself? Never really see those come up for sale let alone with the card you recieved for it. Trying to learn how to upload a picture from my phone to post it.

I appreciate the input from this thread! I don't post much on Blowout but I'm very impressed with the cards and knowledge shared. Been following Ohtani since I pulled the 2018 BC Gold Auto in '18. Been to a handful of games and have enjoyed the career he has had so far!

If you’re using mobile, I find Tapatalk easier for uploading images, especially when using a VPN.

2018 wax is the next to see a bump, then the 2024 stuff with his 1st Dodgers uniform cards. Exciting to see all of this stuff on the move, something being bought off my watchlist seemingly every time I refresh it!

Go ask the Dodgers’ front office, or any Dodgers’ fan for that matter if they feel that way. Just to be clear, I never said Koufax was the GOAT pitcher. I was simply pointing out that because he was so good in his final six seasons along with his postseason success, he’s perceived by many fans to be among the greatest starting pitchers to ever play. That’s amazing when you consider the number of starting pitchers who played longer, won more games, and accomplished more. If you look at enough all time great player lists in all sports, you will find that the majority of fans value peak performance over longevity.

As for Ohtani, I don’t think he’s the GOAT. I think it’s the Babe, and Ohtani’s got a long way to go before I would concede that. However, I don’t think he has to do what you believe to get into the conversation. He’s already got five MVP caliber seasons under his belt, and he’s still just 31. A few more and he’s in the conversation. I don’t care how far behind he is to Willie Mays in WAR. He’s done things that no other player has ever done. He’s a global icon, and he’s had a greater impact on baseball than most of us ever imagined he would.

I do agree with your Lincecum example though. I would take Lincecum’s performance over Ohtani’s. I would also take Larsen’s perfect game, Gibson’s 17K game, and Kevin Brown’s 16K game where he out dueled Randy Johnson. There’s probably a few other games I would take over Ohtani’s performance as well. I know many on here will disagree with me. It was certainly an exceptional game. The problem I have with it is it was the final game of a series that wasn’t very competitive. He was facing hitters that couldn’t hit any of the Dodgers' pitchers, and lets face it they were a beaten team. The Dodgers went into that game as relaxed as you could be in a playoff game. There was no pressure. I would be more impressed if the series had been competitive. If it had been game five of a 2-2 series, then it would have really been something.

Looking to see if anyone has seen a 2019 Topps Highlights Target Shohei numbered to 10 ever sold. Never seen one on ebay. I know they were a niche set from Target but still numbered to /10. Its the photo of him at the podium. What do you guys think its value is? Just curious. It's the Red parallel of that card. Thanks in advance.

You don't need a membership to send to PSA, you only need one if you want to send at the bulk rate or use their monthly specials. You can send at any of their regular levels without a membership.

If you're sending in cards valued under $500, then using GameStop is a good option. If you're sending in higher valued cards, then sending in yourself without getting a membership works. Or, use a group submitter if that makes you feel more comfortable.
