I'd say he is not thrilled.....but hey the market dictates the price, so can't be mad at economics. Yeah he really did have offers at the time of opening raw and posting on twitter through DM's etc.

Even I didn’t think it’d go that low. At this point he should hold it, I think the sapphire on card autos will be the card to go for, just still too much stuff out there and available.

Doesn’t help all those big Julio’s were listed at the same time. Let things settle down and these get tucked away in collections. If Julio has a big year they should see a nice jump eventually

Yeah exactly. First, I underestimated the amount of Julio stuff out there in comparison to other players and how bad the high-end market is right now. His 1st Bowman red sold for 170k less not even a year later in the same grade. Kinda crazy.

Haha honestly I probably could have bought it and flipped it on eBay for more, but no I didn't purchase it. I only flip Julio 1st Bowman Atomic Autos

I'd be so upset if I had owned one of those and Goldin decided to list them all together. Completely awful move.

That graded purple J Rod auto only went for a few thousand more than the raw non-auto purples that sold on ebay a while back...

With him starting hot and people hopping back on the bandwagon, curious to see what that would go for. I’m guessing 25-30k

I originally had 3 sealed cases that I trimmed down to 1. I was supposed to stay put for the long-term but.... I just picked up an additional 17 loose boxes.

I didn't plan to add more of this product but the price was good enough where I was willing to take on such "risk".

Anyway, who else is sitting on this product?!

I bought 2 cases direct from Topps. Ripped one case and got a good portion of my money back selling singles/lots, while still holding a Torkelson red auto /5, which is now in a PSA 9 holder. If only he would start performing even close to expectations haha.

The second case is still sealed. I don't really have a firm plan for it, so I'm just leaving it tucked away in the closet for now. Topps dropping these at $130 (and coupons working!) was so nice. Hopefully the price stays the same this year and they continue with the on-card autos.

Prices came down a bit from the high, still a decent grab, problem Is most of the big auto hits are gone. Julio pad still in play, but only a few Julio purples and some orange autos left. All big supers (Julio/Wander/Witt/Kwan etc hit.

Laugh all you want but blowout has chrome update cases for 800 right now, gotta be at least close to the floor. Nobody really ripping, singles selling decently because of it, and all the big supers/super autos still in play that I know of. Would much rather grab a sealed case of chrome update longterm vs 3 of these loose boxes.
