As good as it seemed the Nets shot from deep, they were only around 37% which is actually under their season average.

https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/three-point-pct

Let's face it. Bucks are going to have to put up a lot of points to meet Brooklyn's pace. Nets are averaging a shade under 119 a game, and that was with the big 3 only having around 10 games together.

Yah I'm not even a Bucks fan but I wouldn't over react at all its game one adjustments will hopefully be made and I don't expect both teams to get as hot or as cold as they were today. As far as Harden I'm calling it he will miss atleast 2-3 games with that aggravated hamstring that is a very irritating injury to have.

Players have gushed about Carlisle's level of detail and preparation. He won a finals as a big underdog. He's a good coach. If you want someone to blame on Dallas, look at Kristaps, who seldom looks like he cares about anything basketball related.

I don't think there has been overreactions..i think there's disappointment that the Bucks couldn't take advantage of a Hardenless Nets team and it wasn't that much a competitive game in the 2nd half

Good game for the Nets. No real help for Giannis

NBA contracts are odd so I don’t discuss them much (if at all). However, this is why I haven’t been much of a fan of Middleton’s since he disappeared in the Raptors series in 2019 and Milwaukee handed him a max deal.

He makes more than AD, Kyrie, Lillard, etc., yet doesn’t hold a torch to their level of talent. He puts up solid numbers in the regular season next to Giannis, but he isn’t a game changing talent. Very rarely have I ever found myself thinking, ‘Middleton is taking over’.

I hope I stand corrected and he makes me eat those words this year.

As Ace Hood once eloquently put it, “ Same old sh*t, just a different day”.

Let’s hope that narrative changes once and for all in game 2!

Been said multiple times in here, but Bucks have to stick with trying to punish the Nets down low on the offensive end. The Nets really have no one to defend Brook or Giannis in the paint.

Middleton missing so many makeable shots, just wasn't his night. And got nothing from the bench.

Bucks notoriously have been pretty bad in Game 1's. Lost to the Celtics in Semifinals in 2019 and almost lost to Raptors in ECF. Lost to the Magic in the bubble in Game 1 and barely beat the Heat in Game 1 this year.

I am holding onto that, the long layoff, and that they wont shoot THAT bad from 3 again. Of course being a Bucks fan I fully expect to get swept or lose in 5.

This Dwade gameshow is a horrible parody of Saw minus the past sins storylines.

From the ads at least it reminds me a little more of "Cube".

If you've never seen Cube before, it's pretty much a lower budget, much tackier, Canadian Saw. Highly recommend for the poops & giggles

Added to the bucket list.

What could be better than low budget death games from accidentally running over moose 5 summers ago?

Lakers fans are hilarious. On social media it's now all the coach's fault or the roster was made up of only scrubs, plus they're now going to trade Kuzma and Gasol (and maybe Drummond too) for Dame...

I wanted the Suns to win game 6 but bet on the Lakers so I got something out of it either way. Might do the same for tomorrow - bet on the Clips...

Yes... one of the first things I realized when I moved to LA is that local Lakers fans have a skewed view of the NBA.

A few that I talked to thought that Kobe was a consensus better player than LeBron. These people were all just casual fans thought. I can say pretty much every city I've lived in had fans that didn't know much about the league other than their hometown team. I just happens that LA county has 10 Million people in it so you get a lot more of these types of fans.

The biggest factor is that Lakers fans watched Kobe and Company win 5 NBA Titles. LeBron prior to the Lakers had only won 3. Kobe is also a career Laker. With the early passing of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers winning it all last year, the emotional connection to him became stronger because, in their eyes, it was a "For Kobe" run. LeBron winning it likely helped close that gap for Laker's fans between the two but his behavior this year surely widened it.

One game is certainly not a series, but it’s concerning that the Nets were without Harden, both KD and Kyrie were forced into taking tough shots throughout most of the night, and the Nets still ran away with it in the 4th.

Factor in Mike James and Blake Griffin making major contributions, and this is looking like an uphill battle for the Bucks. When Blake Griffin is outhustling you, you need to self evaluate. No disrespect to Blake as he brought it last night, but that effort and intensity needs to be matched, at a minimum, if the Bucks want to make this a series. Last night felt like a missed opportunity for them.

I don't see that as an impossibility since almost everybody has a different top ten players list, based on the achievements they deemed more important, and plenty of nba players have placed kobe above lebron. If you want a skewed view of the nba, it's more like those fans picking lebron as goat over MJ, now that has me ROFL.

You could add Magic Johnson ripping into Dennis Schroder as well.

Bucks have been soft last two postseasons and were soft again last night. Middleton just isn't good enough and Jrue has never been a scorer, they really miss Donte to not even be close in the 4th with no Harden....I'm surprised, I thought MIL would make it a series.

76ers line has moved from -133 to -160. Embiid upgraded to questionable, but I doubt he plays. I don't think that's why the line has moved but who knows.

If PHL can advance and have Embiid for the Nets, they can't play Blake at center. He has no shot vs Joel. But if Harden comes back it may not matter BRK might just outscore everyone all playoffs.

The year was 2015... so he wasn't canonized yet.

But I get it. I'm from Cleveland, where people literally think Bernie Kosar is an all time great.

What I'm trying to say is some of the more fanatical stuff coming out of some Lakers fans right now isn't from your hard core fan that watches every team, it's the guy or gal that literally only pay attention to the Lakers.

Embiid playing Game 1.

So much for shutting him down the rest of the Playoffs.

We'll see if it works out for him better than it did Harden.

I would have to imagine Embiids tear just must not be that bad...I mean why take a chance and not at least see how Game 1 goes without him if it's a serious or moderate injury.
