Depth perception definitely is a lot different.

I just don't know how he could see what he saw unless he just realized he was too close to Dragonstone and wanted to turn around.

Oh, I agree. The eyesight in Westeros is better than the normal human. The black girl could see Cole from way up high, too, a couple episodes ago.

Those 3 dragons with Rhaenyra was a well-realized allusion to the famous shot of Daenerys emerging from the fire with her 3 hatched dragons on the original.

I'll tell you what, time is just one of them big ol' dang circles, man, all flat-like.
Big finish tomorrow night. Good show again this year, for sure.

On this series, all dragons should have fought to the death in the first episode of Season 1, right? Season 3, likely in 2026, will have lots of action.

It'll be two years until Season 3, although "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" will air in 2025. These are the early adventures of Ser Duncan The Tall (an ancestor of Brienne of Tarth) and Aegon V Targaryen (Later, King Aegon V and also Dany's great grandfather) set about 90 years before the original series, so basically, right in between the two shows. This is a relatively peaceful time, so it'll be more of an adventuresome, Robin Hood derring-do type affair.

The last episode of a season should not be a filler episode. Move the storyline forward. This season was essentially 8 episodes of Rhaenyra being indecisive while Daemon got high in a castle. All the substance was packed into episode 6. It was an underwhelming season at best.

Tywin Lannister is named Hand of the King after Tyrion's injury
Joffrey Baratheon is betrothed to Margaery Tyrell after the annulment with Sansa
The aftermath of Stannis's failed attack on the King's Landing is depicted as Stannis broods in defeat at Dragonstone.
Arya, on the run, is given a special coin
Brienne of Tarth continues escorting Jaime Lannister south
Robb Stark marries Talisa instead of fulfilling his promise to marry into House Frey
Jon Snow earns the trust of the Free Folk as part of the larger plan to take down their leader from within
Daenerys Targaryen gets her stolen dragons back from the House of the Undying.

The previous episode called "Blackwater" was a full-length battle royale, and much more exciting than the above, although major events were put into motion in the Season 2 finale, just the same as what happened last night.

Idk we had several episodes of readying dragons, green vs black, ready for battle, and then.....comedy and mud wrestling

All these characters are so indecisive. Rhaenyra was conflicted the entire season, and even after Aemond burns a whole town everyone just shrugs? Could've given us a little skirmish there at least....not even Aegon wanted to fight him? He wants to fight everyone. Even with one leg and no ear or doodle.

Aegon's woe-is-me tale reminded me of Eric Roberts' famed "Charlie, they took my thumb!" moment in the movie "The Pope of Greenwich Village".

Here's highlights from today's presser with series co-creator Ryan Condal where he addresses the disappointment with the finale in some quarters.

Looks like they'll start filming Season 3 early next year, likely 8 episodes, and the show will finish with the following Season 4.
