Interesting that every talking head I have heard comment on the series so far say Minn will win. And some implying it won't be close. Sounds a lot of the same from what was said after game 1 vs. OKC but we will see. Should be a great series of 2 superstars and many great players around that.

I think pre-all star break Mavs get nuked by Minny, but I think these Mavs can make it a fight. Can't really count either of the number one stars out.

I'm guessing the match up will be:

McDaniels on Luka
Ant on Kyrie (according to Ant)
??? on PJ (this match up could be the key to the series)

I don't know how effective the Dallas bigs will be against the Minny Wall. How many lobs will Kyrie and Luka be able to toss to Gafford and Lively? AG didn't get a lot of action from the dunker's spot against the Wolves.

Minnesota has the most complete roster and the best D of the remaining teams. They're rightly favored. But Dallas has two guys who can get buckets down the stretch. Mavs best hope is to keep the games close for 45 min and let Luka and Kyrie do their thing.

Kyrie was pretty quiet against a Thunder team that wasn't operating at the same defensive level as these Wolves. I have a hard time seeing him having a breakout WCF against Ant.

But if PJ can avg 20 ppg against Conley or whoever they throw at him, that could swing the series.

Agreed with both points. Can't wait for this series, it should be an all-timer and as a huge Luka fan I hope he goes HAM and doesn't whine.

Luka ate Gobert in Utah. Gonna be harder with Ant, McDaniels, and KAT helping instead of Ingles and Mitchell, but we'll see.

I'm not sure how the rest of the post season is going to go, but I'm going to be happy knowing that the #1 and #2 MVP vote getters are out of the playoffs while Luka is still rolling along. Even sweeter knowing he knocked out the #2. Would have loved to see him knock out Joker as well.

I have to wonder what it will take for him to get over the hump and get his first MVP.

How many voters leave him off All NBA 1st team tomorrow? Guessing SAS is a lock and maybe Wilbon too. Any other naysayers who have votes like MacMahon (not sure if he had a vote) who may do the same?
