Incredible off-season??? These are lateral moves at best. Grant Williams?? Kyrie (awful decision), thybulle?? Seth curry might be the only decent signing. They made a massive mistake not paying Brunson and now are stuck w kyrie. I’m sorry, but I’ve gone to games and watched kyrie’s interactions with his teammates and he’s a complete loner. Not sure how you build team camaraderie with that going on. Lebron doesn’t even want kyrie as a teammate and they’re close friends.

Clock is ticking on Luka in the hobby. Hopefully he comes into camp in great shape(hasn't happened yet)man we could use Kobe right about now to mentor him. There's only so many ho-hum seasons we can absorb before he starts sliding. I'm selling off some mid-tier going into the season time to take some money off the table.

It’s the best off-season they’ve had since Luka was drafted. I’m with you on Kyrie, but it is what it is. Their best off-season adds the last five years were Seth Curry and Josh Green. That’s how abysmal the front office has been.

To be fair they dumped some horrendous contracts without giving up a whole lot and got back guys that will play defence and run the floor.

I'm no Kyrie guy, I'd expect 60 games from him. But even of he can help them win the games he plays, the Mavs are far better off. Holmes was a good pick up also.

Umm Lebron did want to play with Kyrie again..the money just doesn't work out. I'm no kyrie guy but the Lebron part isn't true

That's a bummer. I liked his fit with the Mavs.

Who else can they use their mid-level exemption on?

He hasn't had a ho-hum season yet as a player and the team has only had 1 ho-um season since he has been there which was last year. Besides last year they had made further in the playoffs each year. Not sure how that equals ho-hum seasons. I agree last season sucked for sure and they can't have another one like it this year but he did come into last season in much better shape than he had before. I like the moves they have made so far this off-season.

The luster is starting to fade. It's all about the rings and his prices are priced into at least 3 of them. I don't think they're close in a stacked West. I'm pulling for him but it's getting a little nerve-wracking.

Luka's 24.

I've talked about it before, Luka has two more seasons in which to win a title or MVP before the pressure really gets on him.

If he finishes up the season at age 26 and he doesn't have an MVP or title, then he's behind the 8-ball when it comes to building a resume that could get him into the top 10-15. LeBron, Steph, KD, Giannis, Jokic.... They'd all have done more by that age if he doesn't lock something down.

I'll wait to really worry until then.

I doubt anyone cares, but I saw Luka got engaged today. Maybe fitting into a wedding tux will motivate him to stay in shape this offseason?

This makes sense intellectually...but at the same time his cards keep dropping and dropping.

I wouldn't be surprised if luka won mvp next season. But I'm not sure even that could sustain his current RC prices vs. the supply available.

A couple things:

1. Everyone who had high values during the bubble has been dropping.
2. He did lose a little bit of his luster this season. The stats were good, but missing the Play in was a bad look. I haven't heard many arguments that he's actually had a better start to his career as LeBron did, the way I heard a year or two ago.

25, 26, 27... these are prime years to get at the top of the 'best player on the planet' conversation. He's not quite there yet. I'd put him at 2nd tier in that conversation, behind Jokic and Giannis, in with guys like Tatum and Embiid.

Where he's priced at is as *the* best player of his generation. To sustain that he'll need to be in a spot similar to Patrick Mahomes, where even the other best players in his league recognize that he is the best, the way Burrow did.

I've sold off all the rookie autos of Luka that I've collected and bought some GOAT cards. It's because I don't want to gamble on his career, but I'll still enjoy watching him play without caring about his cards going up and down in the future
