Incredible card and it’ll be hard to comp with another BSG gold, as I’m not aware of ones that have sold, at least recently.

Since there are only 15 possible 1/1 gold BSGs to get, I’d argue should be more than a random character red spectrum 1/1. It’s also one of the top arts in the BSG set, top 3 for me. The characters are mid tier- not elites like venom, spidey, miles, Doom- but still have popularity and above say Professor X vs Magneto.

If I had it, I’d ask $10k obo and probably have to settle down to like $4-6k if someone would pay it. That’s just me though. I’m just not sure how many people in this hobby are dropping multiple thousands on cards in the current market. But for such a set, definitely possible.

Edit: it might depend on timeframe you want to sit on it selling it. If looking to move it fast and liquidate, the price could be lower than my numbers. Like an auction on eBay- could result in a $3k number or so (just guessing…can’t know with certainty). So method of selling impacts things.

Yeah I just finished out my last tier 3 purchase with miles morales for 20 bucks. Got Gwen for 14 when the tide turned after the product became sold out.

The hardest tier 3 however was finding Groot of all characters at a reasonable price.

I snagged 1 tier 3 What If for 6 bucks but im just not bothering with the rest since they rapidly climbed in price.

Now I just need 4 more Battle Spec and cheap Prelim art and im pretty satisfied.

I totally learned with this not to buy any singles prior to the epack drop. It’s all very predictable but FOMO got the best of me on MM22. Now it’s a moot point since probably no more MMs after this.

I collect the mirage, BSG gem sets in each MM, and tier 4 base. Over the last year on ebay, was buying mirages for anywhere $100-250 to get the set from ebay. Some of them now $40-50 on comc. Similar with teal BSGs- about $150-250 a pop and now some down to $60-70 range, although I expect those to climb a bit. At least I held off the speckle holofoils prior to the drop and I can just get them cheap off comc (I don’t think many collect those. Heck small dots holofoils almost looks like it). I picked up some speckles for $25, a few of the lesser characters were even sub $20.

COMC really does encourage people to have a monopoly. They even let you know if you're the only one with a certain card. As for Tier 3's, I'd wait a month and most of them will definitely come down in price. Except maybe Spider people and a few other popular ones.

Bc then I'd be able to open more packs (obviously)

Galactus VS Surfer sold on Facebook recently for $6.5k USD. One data point for you.

Seems about right.

There are some big Surfer collectors out there though. So it kinda comes down to that…are there any big Daredevil or Elektra collectors. On the character tier list I’d put Surfer above. But I do like the art a lot on the Daredevil/Elektra.

I was able to redeem the achievements for L1-L3 base and I'm done. The achievements were kinda underwhelming, wish they would've done something a little more. If anyone is interested I have around 60 unredeemed gold foil sigs (L1-L3) available for trade that I won't be shipping home.

Completely agree. Outside the canvas auto achievements…is it true that everything else is just an acetate? That’s kinda lackluster.

In prior MMs there would be a mix of acetate, rainbow foils, etc. I wish they would have just went with the unused art…would have been so much better.

Even the Canvas autos, a lot of them are not-centered. Marvel did this a rush job on the achievements, I didn't even bother on any of them except I wanted the Canvas auto. I was offered in a trade, but I saw it was at best 70-30, I decided not to trade for it.

I noticed this too. Maybe not as bad as some of the regular galleries (some of those were so bad, like 95/5, to the point of basically being an error miscut card). But yea the average gallery achievement is not centered. UD had one job with that high end, exclusive set…. had a heck of a lot of time also. And yet it’s not. I don’t get it.

No no no no no. Since 2016, Masterpieces has been 100pt. I personally prefer BCW 108pt, but that's just my preference. There have been scattered reports of certain individual cards not being cut correctly (too tall, too wide) but those are rare.

Sorry I wasn’t clear was trying to ask specifically with the metallurgy cards.

MONSTER!

I don't suggest this often, but in this case, I'd let the top-bidder decide the price on this one via auction house.

Congrats on the epic pull

This has to be the worst trade offer I've ever received. Was offered a Marvel Platinum Cyclops Creator Art Variant Rainbow, a $2 card on COMC, for this sketch. I just don't get it. Is the guy hoping I accidentally press the wrong button and accept?

Still lots of good deals on COMC if you have the funds. Picked up this great Spider-man sketch:

That's pretty cool, how much was it? One thing about sketches on COMC is they can be a pain to find because multiple will be under a single image for a give artist and you can't search by character.
