Pretty sure all around. I remember Greg Gibson was the home plate ump in one of the NLDS games and the next one he was in the outfield.

Good pitching > good hitting
As I've also said, good hitting can beat good pitching, but I think it's obvious they need better pitching.

Outscored 8-2 this series. They can only blame themselves.

This is demoralizing. At least I can just watch the A.L. tomorrow without rooting for or against another team.

White Sox want us to lose, Mets fans want us to lose, and Cardinals want us to lose. Sheesh. I'm trying to stay polite and tip my hat and say good game, but with everybody starting to get cocky and arrogant it's getting tough.

Who cares? They have as much control over the outcome as Cubs fans do.

Win at Wrigley. Get back in this.

Where is this cockiness and arrogance coming from? All I see are people celebrating a Mets win. "YES! Let's Go Mets! Two more to the World Series!" is not being arrogant and cocky.

Exactly. Don't forget. BOTH Mets and Cubs are long suffering…Every win is HUGE for BOTH teams and need to be cherished and celebrated.

Gotta give to get. Would you rather trade for a young pitcher or overpay a 30yr old for 5-7 years? You also have to remember that these young hitters will eventually get paid and you don't want a ton of big contracts when that happens

Even if the Mets only win 1/3 at Wrigley (which is the worst case scenario most likely), I still like their chances to win.

If deGrom can dominate and the Mets win game 3, I think the Cubs are done.

Mets fan all my life and Royals fan since 1975 so my dream/nightmare of those two playing in the World Series against each other is one step closer.

If it wasn't the two above teams my third pick would be the Cubs.

Toronto?....Please the were OK before Bautista decided to go full roid rage and with his act the past two games in KC they and him have become my least favorite team/player right next to the Yankees/Arod!

Haha grow a pair. I've lived in NY my entire life and have only heard "Mets suck" for the last 9 years. If you can't handle it, then this isn't your sport. Watch tennis or curling if the fans are too tough.

Of course, erasing an 0-3 deficit would be a way to win your first pennant in 70 years in style. I don't lose hope just because they're behind, but there's little hope to go off of right now.
