What it tells me is the Mets might be the new Braves and the Cubs might be those early '90s Pirate teams that had Bonds and Bonilla. Or if they're super lucky, they might get a token pennant like the '93 Phillies only for the window to close.

The good news is the Cubs window is just getting opened. So is the Mets, though.
