They're protecting their own interests. I'm sure they've been wanting to do so for a long time and right now is a perfect opportunity.

That's what I figured. Hopefully other states can realize that before jumping on the wagon and banning it.

It's just funny because they say their banning it because its gambling. Just tell it like it is, or come up with a better excuse.

Tin foil hatter checking in.

Sorry gaize, but my alien bot conjecture must have sparked a glitch in the matrix.

On a serious note, did anyone seriously NOT think this was inevitable? Or were you all blinded by last week's 50/50 winnings to think this soiled industry was immune?

Withdraw what you don't want to lose now. The FBI/ICE has a lovely habbit of seizing/taking down domains when you least expect it. I'm also 99 percent sure they've been investigating the industry for a lot longer than just the past few weeks.

I expect a mass exodus of the high rollers moving overseas soon. AKA Condia...and himself.

Has anybody down a paypal withdraw with ownThePlay? How long does it usually take?

Tried looking on the site for a timeline but couldn't find anything.

Ask the guy who's been advertising the site all over the place. He said he won and withdrew $500 without a problem.

Another thing that's funny about Nevada outlawing daily fantasy is the fact that they have legal brothels there. So prostitution is cool, but gambling isn't. Even though that's about all the states known for.

When you went through the withdraw process and requested a withdraw did they send any kind of a confirmation of a withdraw request? I requested a withdraw about 2 hours ago and found it kind of odd that I got no kind of acknowledgment at all.

I'll never understand why things like gambling are gone after so harshly by people. I remember when they wanted to put casinos in Ohio and how many people came out against it. If people want to hand their money to rich people who own the casinos, then so be it. I was a passive watcher of League of Legends before. Ever since Draft Kings started letting people bet on it, my interest has gone up dramatically. I'm an adult, if I want to throw a few bucks down on making a League of Legends team, then that's my choice.

Meanwhile, states just keep selling scratch off lotto tickets and advertise for the Powerball and Mega Millions, no problem there. The government is so hypocritical, you have to laugh so you don't cry.

And just to add, yes, I'm a huge nerd. I am horrible at betting on football but do pretty well at League.

I don't think this Nevada situation will kill or really hurt the industry. I don't think many other states will do this beyond the ones that have already. I do think it will eventually be regulated. The government is going to want their cut for sure. I think this is Nevada just trying to protect their gaming interest and strong hold in the US.

Heh, it's amazing how many people worry about what others do with their money. The hypocrisy of state lotteries is downright deplorable: "it's ok to play a game that is guaranteed to have more losers than winners as long as the state is the one taking all the profits. BUT!!! By God if there's a non-government agency doing the same thing WE MUST SHUT IT DOWN!!!!"

Should I go with DeMarco Murray (AVG. 15.1) at home vs. the Giants or Allen Robinson (AVG. 17.8) at home vs. the Texans?

Here is what I currently have for the DK MM.

QB Blake Bortles P ----20.4 swap out
RB L. Blount -----------12.0 swap out
RB Matt Forte -----------18.6 swap out
WR Anquan Boldin -----12.2 swap out
WR Julian Edelman ----24.3 swap out
WR DeAndre Hopkins --25.8 swap out
TE Antonio Gates -------30.2 swap out
FLEX Allen Robinson ---17.8 swap out
DST Jets ----------------10.5

They are not saying it is illegal necessarily. They just want it to be licensed in Nevada so they can make money from the daily fantasy sites. It's just politics.
