Five Star Checklist Out...Thoughts??? - Page 3

For me the checklist is okay. I dont mind cut autos... although i'm not a big fan of sticker autos.

But the 2015 design is just awful. Looks like crap. Very disappointed.

Having this product released the same as week as Flawless BK and Cup HK was a very bad idea. For a lot of reasons.

If the autos in this product sold for the premium it costs to actually buy the unopened wax I would buy some boxes...but they don't, so I will not be buying any.

Seriously autos from Topps flagship sell better than these.

Yeah, I saw some breaks and it doesn't have that Five Star feel AT ALL. As others have said, it has more of a Museum/Supreme feel to it.

It never took off in baseball, but Topps doesn't help out the cause either. Dare I say I may rather buy a box of The Cup over Five Star?

Yes, the value in Five Star has always been terrible. Previously, if you even pulled 2 top names in a box, you could still lose. At the National, I busted a case of 2013 (~$900 case for 3 boxes) and barely broke even after hitting a Trout, Aaron, Bautista 1/1, and Ripken Patch Auto.

I don't get keeping the base auto checklist at 100+ players, while taking out a lot of 1/1s (barrels/knobs) and putting dups of some cuts. It looks like all they did to keep the price down was basically slice a box into thirds, and make the checklist worse.

Looks like I won't be doing a barrel/knob tracker this year. Or, adversely, I could do the easiest one to date.

Yup this product is dreadful. And the resale value is worse than dreadful.
