So what is the story with the blue backs. I see some listed for $200 and others at auction with 4 hours left and only at $1. Some people are saying SP and others are saying /10?

If anyone can get ahold of distributors who have this, are they saying they have plenty in stock or they are out?

Talked to some breakers today who said they couldn't get any more HH# if they wanted to, their distributors are totally out.

Has anybody calculated the total print run of cases yet based on odds?

Also love this stuff, awesome checklist all around. Wish there were more autos than relics but there's still value in the variations.

blue backs are limited to 10, 1 every other case
they have existed for a couple years, before that they were black backs

and these aren't ones that should be auctioned off like that
several sell at $300-$600 (like correa, byrant)
or like trout from regular heritage etc

this is how it works, distributors take pre-orders months back based on what is ordered by folks; Topps requires them to turn in orders usually around 4 months in advance

hardly anyone ordered this, so that is why distributors are out
most distributors do NOT order more than what they pre-sell as they don't want to get stuck
if they do, they may add 10% or extra if it's a high in-demand product
which this was not, nor was it a grp brk type product

BUT all of those distributors could have re-ordered ANY time from Topps (as long as they are on good terms), as of Friday Topps still had some left, in fact my distributor re-ordered Tuesday (since I was the only one who pre-bought from him and I told him he would need more, and he started getting emails/calls); then he re-ordered again on Wednesday AND a 3rd time on Friday

on Wednesday there was nearly 500 cases left, on Friday less than 100
sometimes distributors say they are out because they are holding it, or have some in transit and think price will increase (as it has and will)

just because a distributor does not have any does not mean there is not plenty around
this product was not over-produced but it was not that low either, not for an 'update' type 'later-year' 'non-chrome' non-prospect' product
there were several other products this year that had less production

I know places it can still be ordered and BO too will have more, so it's around
this is why everyone should have a relationship with at least 1 distributor or more, and also why to pre-order so you get in around 6-8% above cost at release not 25-33% above and later

but it can go the opposite way as well, so some choose not to pre-buy, I get that

anyone who has followed heritage high knows how great it is, and this year was going to rock, no one, no one knew the checklist (even though small) would be this amazing, with most autos not being sp at all

there were so many rc they could have had in the auto checklist along with the top 5-10 guys, but they didn't they made most all solid then added strong hof and current autos to boot
in past you would see some semi-star current guys for fillers, but not this time
outstanding product all around, helps to have super hot rc class, and autos that don't fall every box, etc

The interesting thing is Topps said they were going to try and have as many on card autos as possible which also scared some people interpreting this to mean this was going to be sticker-laden. That being said, I've seen no stickers.

Anyone have the feeling that this product will sell better as the buzz grows? I mean it seems like no one saw this coming and stuff is all over the map on eBay but it's not like when Bowman first comes out. The SP rookies are a tough pull - Buxton, Lindor, Bryant but I'm not sure the buying community understands this, yet. I was only able to get half a case but I'm VERY happy! I'm concerned I can't get more.

EDIT: someone pulled a Koufax/Kershaw dual! It's a redemption but still, what a card!

How obvious are the "glossy" back variations? I assume I didn't pull one in my case. The pictures posted on ebay just look like normal cards to me.
