HOF candidacy: A-Rod vs Bonds

Both Barry Bonds and ARod have undoubtedly all-time greats type of talents, but with the type of steroid stigma associated they both won't sniff HOF anytime soon.

I was thinking if there is a one-time leniency for steroid prime suspects, and you can choose to elect just one controversial steroid tainted player to HOF, who would you think is more "deserving" (hypothetically speaking) between the two?

He never hit 30 homers before he started cheating so I would doubt he could do it now.

On the basis of accomplishments alone Bonds deserves it more.

That said, A-Rod gets my vote. A-rod was caught and has been apologetic for his PED use, whereas Bonds has never admitted his PED use. I think someone who's willing to apologize to the fans (however late) is more 'deserving' overall than someone in continued denial.

When do you think he started using PED's? He hit 33 in the 1990 season, 25 in 92 and 30+ from 93-04.

I would vote Bonds as well.

I'd go with the guy who didn't try to sue Major League Baseball to clear his name after using testosterone, human growth hormone and Insulin-like growth factor-1 in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
