That's what it was broken down into it's simplest form.

some of us saw the instability before the shoe dropped (He told one member to kill himself for calling him out on something)

it was kind of a pyramid scheme. He was paying some people with cards/cash he was getting from other people and so on. Then the big "mystery lots" score got lots of idiots.

One guy sold cards, didn't get paid yet, and then paid supposedly 11k in gift for a mystery lot despite not getting paid for the other cards he had sold previously. Then started asking everybody here for 1 dollar to make up for his idiocy. You can't fix stupid.

oh, and PTF is still trying to spell exquisite properly.

Correct. If I recall he was a mixture of Caucasian, African-American, and Asian as well. Throw in a couple other races and nationalities for good measure.

You always post when a haiku thread is created and it's the only time you ever post on here.

I would normally accuse you of being haiku but my true identity has already been revealed so there is no denying it now.

Can we just "sticky" the Haiku thread in the Welcome New Members section going forward so they can all just check it out there when they sign up?

Keep reading, it ended up being far more than just $20k...it exceeded six figures. However the total cut was split up between more than one person. One of those cases where the members who were scammed turned out to be the scammers. Only paypal lost money in this debacle.

Did anything happen to him? Arrests? Etc? Or is he still floating around?

No, because *he* wasn't one person. All those people who were ripped off from his mystery lots weren't actually ripped off. They were ripping off Paypal. Nobody on here was out any money, although some people were out cards.

Because Haiku wasn't a person. It was just a screen name invented by the people who pretended to get scammed from him. Nobody lost their money. Only PayPal did.

Haiku was actually many people pretending to be one person. Kind of like those cartoons where multiple kids put on a trench coat and pretend to be a single adult.
