Default Pandora are you drunk?

Sometimes when I make a channel they throw in a band/artist and I am just like "Really? How do they sound anything alike??"

Please feel free to share your examples here.

-Hate it, don't use it anymore primarily for the reason you cite. I use spotify now on the PS4, enjoy it much more and like the direct control.

lobo_hacker, who gave up on pandora when they tried to make me listen to mel torme after hitting thumbs down on him 12 times in a row on his Tony Bennett channel

I programmed a Staind radio station. Everytime I listen to that station it plays Tim Mcgraw at least once. I have no idea why.

I have a megadeth channel. The first 8 songs are the same rotation.

Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer and that repeats. After that it goes either Sepultura or Van Halen. If we go Sepultura route it takes me to stupid bands like the Iron Maiden cover band. If we go the Van Halen route it usually takes me to Pearl Jam or RHCP.

I also have a weezer station and after the initial Weezer song you will never hear them again on their own station. They must limit how much Pandora can play?

Anymore I just use youtube and make my own mix or use the artists mix. Pandora is the worst.

I find that Pandora gets scared and behaves itself if I don't open it for a couple of weeks.

My guess is because the Staind lead singer crossed over to country and is compared to Tim McGraw in that field

I would suggest Tidal for good radio stations. It's damn expensive, but there's a 30-day free trial for the committment-phobic. Plays music that ACTUALLY sounds like what you want to hear, not just vaguely connected contemporaries.

I have a Misfits station and when I feel like listening to morbid and dark stuff....which is usually in October, I will play it and I crack up every time they play Johnny Cash and Elvis. I do understand the connection with each artist(somewhat). I can only pretend hearing Elvis say...."Mommy, Can I go out and...KILL TONIGHT"!!!!! LOL! :eatit:

I have the same problem with my Weezer station. I hear 10x more Nirvana than Weezer on that station.

I would rather wrestle an alligator then listen to anyone playing a ukelele. Those things are so annoying.

Accordians as well. I hate them.

Pandora's lame af. I'd suggest trying 8tracks. I use that one and TuneIn.

I don't really have a problem with strange artists playing on any of my stations. But, I think each station only has about 25 songs they play in rotation.

Anyone use Slacker radio? Im pretty happy with it. I made a Black Keys station. Sometimes I'll get an odd punk song, but for the most part, their selections are great.

Hahah this totally happened to me a couple of days ago. Somehow Pumped Up Kicks came on my Rage Against The Machine station. I was thoroughly confused

Johnny Cash gets played on the Bad Religion station all the time, but that's awesome!
