Default Anyone Else Pissed At Topps About Chrome Mini?

I know a bunch of us here bought numerous cases of regular chrome. Topps totally f'd it up and we all either lost our asses opening the product or selling it sealed. Then they load up their new product so it will sell. Good old fashion cut throat business by Topps. Destroy their old faithful product that sells no matter what. Then load up their new product so it sells well after release.

Touche Topps you got us all again you

Only mad and jealous at the guy that pulled back to back Superfractor from the product.

It was Tom Brady and Matt Ryan I think.

thats what happens with print to order. everyone orders a ton of cases of regular chrome thinking theyre geniuses who are going to flip it for retirement, and they all lose their ass. No one orders mini, the print run is low and the hits are stacked

Was the first one Matt Ryan I keep thinking either Ryan or Flacco?

UPDATE: It is Matty Ice.

Could be the 2 best back to back hits I've ever seen.

I liked mini over regular. At least the checklist isnt 75 auto subjects like chrome regular was.

Yes. I knew buying 11 cases would be a risk with the potential for some reward, but never imagined the thrashing we'd take. I'm also mad because the product just sucked. It was so predictable; 10 base autos and 2 colored refractor autos, usually of scrubs. I opened 6 cases and got 1 (ONE) red refractor /25.

I can see how breakers who purchased a lot of regular Chrome at full price would be pissed. I'm more annoyed as a collector if anything lol. They're kind of redundant since they aren't even the full novelty sized mini, being like 3/4 the size of regular. Makes it seem sort of like an expansion pack to Chrome in a way, watering down each parallel, especially the 1/1s.

I like the idea of Mini, but they should have done regular Chrome right and f'ed up Mini with overproduction.

The price still seems high for literally less product per box.

Smart company that learned to pivot on the fly.

What is wrong with Chrome?

Remember, no product should return more than the purchase price. If it did/does the market would adjust upwards to correct for it because of increased demand. Every product in history should have a pretty similar total return percentage (based on the entire print run.) Buying in advance is like buying speculative futures and they come with increased risk.

They are crappy mini versions that nobody ever really likes. In 20 years nobody but die hard completists will give a rats ass about those cards. People will bust and dump and it will be forgotten.

Sorry but the days of truly collecting are gone. To many products. Most collectors are player collectors, or investors. I think these cards even though they are mini will hold there value just fine for those collectors. If I collect a certain player I am not shying away from a mini card. I would collect every card of that player. And if I'm an investor, I'm still buying because the cards are still pretty and have eye appeal. And if you put them in a nice Bgs case, what difference does it make? In 20 years nobody knows where this hobby will be! Just my opinion.
