When he retires, we will say he was the greatest.

I'm with Ralph Lawler. He is/will be the greatest of All-Time.

Passes one of the greatest passing forward's records at just 30. Another impressive record broken.

Insane achievement when you realize that he's only 30, and his birthday wasn't even that long ago!

If we don't Lebron will lol. Great achievement though. Shows how good that facet of his game is.

I think when it's all said and done, we will all take either Magic Johnson or Larry Bird off of that proverbial Mt. Rushmore. Because I know a lot of us have one or the other on their and we will replace them with LBJ.

He may go down as the best all-around player in the history of the NBA, but that doesn't mean best.....let's give praise to his abilities but recognize there is only one greatest....his airness Michael Jordan.

I'm interested to see how long he plays and how long he can play at this level. He could end up with 40,000 points, 10,000 assist, 10,000 rebounds. Remarkable.

I wish we could just appreciate guys like Kobe, Duncan and Lebron without being in such a hurry to declare them the greatest of all time.

Only took LeBron 12 seasons, Scottie hit that mark in his 17th season.

Dude he ain't scoring 40,000 points. The guy barely gets 2,000 points a year, you think he will keep this up for 7 more years? NO WAY, he might get to 35000, but getting to 40,000, I just don't believe the physical traits will stay, he has maybe 3 more seasons after this one to play at top level.

I think he can still play at a high level for another 5-6 years and then he will be able to still play at a decent level until he is around 39. Sports medicine is crazy now, careers are extending for a lot of players.

One of the GOATs but not even really close to Jordan, Russell or Chamberlain.

Also Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Lebron needs to do a lot in the playoffs during his remaining years to get anywhere near these guys. I also think putting him above Magic and Bird right now is a pretty big stretch.

Agreed. People sleep on Magic. I have him as my number 2 all time. The guy was a walking triple double threat. Hands down the most brilliant PG of all time. Guy has 5 rings and almost a full decade's worth of finals appearances. People forget he also retired with some prime years left.

Interesting that no one here has even mentioned defense.

Jordan: 9 time First team All-Defense
Lebron: 5 time First team All-Defense 1 time Second team (and counting)
Magic: 0 Time All-Defense

This is why Magic will never quite be on the same level and Jordan/Lebron

Defense is such a huge part of the game and most people don't even acknowledge it.
