Trade it, no one worth the #1 pick this year IMO. They need a QB, but I don't think either of the big 2 are Franchise QBs

If I were a Tampa fan and they didn't take Mariota, I'd be upset. Mike Evans needs someone to get him the ball! Leonard Williams is a beast but they already have a lot invested in McCoy.

Mariota to Mike Evans seems good. Unless they can pick up a decent QB in a trade, I don't see anyone else that could give them what they need at the position.

They are not going to trade it. With Tenn right behind, I think if Bucs pass on Mariota (which they won't), Titans will grab him

I don't think many of you here have actually watched Mariotta or just don't know much about the difference between college and pro offense. Mariotta is not a pro style QB he is just a very athletic system QB. Where is the last great Oregon QB at right now?? In the AFL I believe because he was not an NFL level QB. Their offense has been great ever since this system was in place no matter who the QB was. If he is drafted #1 he would not be ready to just plug and play he would need at least a year or so to develop as an NFL QB and there is no guarantee that will happen. Winston already runs a pro style offense and can and does make NFL type throws all the time. Listen to every draft or prospect analyst and they will say the same thing. If Tampa wants the best QB in this draft then they should take Winston #1. If they have other more pressing needs or want to hold out for another QB next year then they should trade back and gain more picks to shore up other areas.

Their last two QB's drafted were Freeman and Glennon. To have a chance at a heisman winning, fully developed, head on straight QB that could start and do better than anyone they have now, I don't see them passing that up.

They have so many needs, the O-Line is so bad and neither QB is a sure thing. I'd try to trade down.

If I was a owner I would trade away every first pick I ever received.... When was the last time one panned out? Don't say Luck because he hasn't won #@#@#@#@ yet.

I think Matt Stafford has worked out pretty well for the Lions?? They have been steadily getting better since they drafted him. They went 0-16 before he came around lol.

Just because he hasn't won anything? Andrew Luck has taken a terrible team to the playoffs every year and advanced twice. If you take him out of the equation the Colts are a bottom five team. He's panned out. No one was expecting a super bowl within three years.

lol He's already an elite NFL QB. The only recent QB drafted #1 overall that hasn't panned out is JaMarcus. Bradford too I guess but you could argue he's been unlucky with injuries as opposed to a complete bust talent-wise.

Totally irrelevant that #1 picks always go to sh*t teams so it might take them (cough Luck cough) a little time to get the team up to speed? Doesn't matter at all. And I guess if you're totally going to write off any #1 pick that hasn't won a Super Bowl you have to go back 10 years to Eli Manning if we're playing that game. Albeit a stupid game.

I don't think Tampa tanked the last few games to trade down the pick, so I almost left the "other" option out of the poll. They need a QB and to me it's pretty interesting since Winston is the better QB, imo, but has the off the field issues, while Mariota might need work but is a poster boy for who you would want as a leader.

Tampa should be shopping it around for trade. If Lovie were up for dealing with him again, the GM should call the Bears and ask for #7 overall and Cutler, which Chicago might have interest in depending on who the next coach is. Trading Cutler is the only way Chicago get any cap savings next year (cutting him saves nothing); if i'm not mistaken, Tampa could release Cutler at any time in the future of his contract and have no dead money on their cap.

what's wrong with Glennon , it's not like he was given a chance ( more than a half of a season ) . that's the problem now a day's these owners & or gm's they don't give time for these qb's to develop or learn . that why some teams are laughing stocks of the league year after year

You do realize the Rams got 3 1s + and a 2nd round pick to move back from 2 to 6. That would be the starting point for any team outside of the top 5. Cutler is worth absolutely nothing right now on the trade market. |

Take a non-qb or trade back. Draft a qb late and sign a free agent.
