That person is a dumba**! People like that make ebay suck. Does that idiot realize if the players put the jersey on it was an event? I got pissed reading that blog, but I can't stop.

If it really is the cardcop douche I am glad I made this post. I called ebay today and as usual they will not remove negatives but said they would look into abuse of feedback by the buyer.
unfortunately it does not matter. Ebay does not police these type of people and they will continue to make accounts and screw sellers over and over.

Jesus Christ - that made my head hurt. Looks like his grammar, let alone the pathetic disposition, hasn't improved from the Beckett board days. Big fonts! Tons of exclamation points! LOOK AT ME!

The LinkedIn information was good for a mild chuckle, at least.

I know! This guy has been dying since the old Beckett boards. Glad to hear he is still plugging away!

$2 flat for 95% of my listings. sometimes it's free for items of a certain price because I'll just factor it in. Larger lots I go by weight and will then just use priority prices once I hit about $6.50 or so or over 13 oz. So usually I'm never over $7 total ever (I love me the flat rate bubble mailers since they are good up to 15lbs and can hold a good amount. I don't let my buyers pay for my supplies in their shipping cost.

I am a collector not a dealer .I have rarely ever sold anything on Ebay but I buy a good many things. And one of the determining factors I use before buying is shipping cost. I don't mind paying three dollars or a little more for shipping if I am buying more than one card . But if its just a single card I do tend to look if any one has better shipping rates. And I don't buy from anyone that wont offer combined shipping for multiple items.

$2.99 plus .50 per item or lot. Usually max out at $4.99. Never had a complain. Have people all the time pay before i even send an invoice and they end up paying way too much. If its outrageous i will refund them.

generally 2.25 one card, 2.50 two but if it's over like 20.00 I'll use reduced or free shipping, depends on the item(s). I don't try to make any profit on shipping and most the time, don't cover my cost but it does pay for MOST of the shipping cost. Reduced shipping is a marketing method that works for some as the one person mentioned above.

As someone who does a fairly significant amount of business on ebay, and is currently "top-rated"(which isn't all it's cracked up to be). I have found that it is so much easier to just do free shipping. Factor shipping into the buy it now cost, and don't worry about it. That way, they can't leave you 1 or 2 stars on the shipping category because you automatically get 5 stars for doing free shipping.

+1. It's not worth the few extra bucks. Many buyers factor it into their bid/offer anyway. If I'm willing to pay $35 for a card, and I see that the seller charges $3 for shipping, I'll offer $32.00. If they offer free shipping? I offer $35. I know not all buyers do this, but I think enough do that it makes it not worth the hassle of potential negs and dinged DSR's to get an extra $2 or $3. There are too many irrational idiots in this world, and I'm all about removing as many avenues of stupidity that I can.

+100000, ive been selling on ebay for 15 years and a powerseller for almost as long, I have always had FREE shipping within the USA for the cards I sell. Its just easier, and like you said not worth the .25-.50 you would be making on shipping to have your DSR dinged or receive a negative.

as you stated, people do factor these things into making offers or bids, and myself, I always refine my ebay searches by FREE shipping.

what I dont like is those people who send me offer prices at or below identical auctions but had $3 shipping. I always counter with i have FREE shipping, and I occassionaly get back the SO WHAT..........LOLOL it makes me laugh as those people want it both ways.

I had a bizarre issue-- Someone had an item for $89 BIN/BO Free Shipping, I placed an offer that I was comfortable with ($81). He countered me at $83 (which was about my limit) but put in the message field of the offer that in accepting $83, he also wanted $5 shipping-- That's kind of deceptive in my book, especially if you are checking these things on mobile, where all fields aren't always populated on the mobile apps/sites. Needless to say, I didn't purchase the item, but it seemed weird...
