He looks like he could have all the potential in the world. They paid him 25 mil for 5 years.
So you think he will be the starter at SS and will he be a top tier/all star caliber player?

The current line on Erisbel is that he's all glove, no bat. It seems unlikely from scouting reports out there that he'll suddenly become even a league average hitter. However his defense is expected to be good enough to be worth a few WAR alone which will partially offset the weak bat.

There have been some reports of makeup issues though including instigating a big fight against the Reno Aces last year.

If he's a placeholder for Corey Seager for a year or two I'm fine given that the boost in infield defense over Hanley is going to be significant.
