Default Colt McCoy starting over RG3

The change had to be made....and I'm a Rg3 fan. He's been playing very poorly this season

Oh how the mighty have fallen.... Poor guy, I hope he got paid good from those endorsement deals and got his degree before leaving Baylor.

Dangit, I wanted to see RGIII vs Luck. Well, RGIII vs Indy's D versus Luck vs Washington's D.

I don't like this decision. Yes RG3 has been terrible, however Colt is not the skins future QB and there is nothing to gain this season. I would play it out with RG3 and see if he can recover.

This is what happens when you hire an Arena League coach for an NFL team.

RG3 needs to push to be traded.

Who wants a injury prone QB that has no pocket presence?

Welcome to the past 15 yrs as a Browns fan. Have a feeling RG3 is being benched due to issues with the coach.

"injury prone" isn't a real thing. and you can't have pocket presence when there's no pocket.

when McCoy bombs, just like Cousins did, who will they blame next?

I say let RG3 move on to a better situation.

I think RG just needs to get out of there and find a new team.

He's a lot more likely to be than McCoy. He should be given more time (to the end of the season) to prove if your above statement is true or false.

what better situation though? He has a very strong receiving core with D-Jax, Garcon, Paul, Helu, he has easily a top 10 running back to hand off to. The tools are in place to succeed, the problem is with the leg injuries he is not the dynamic mobile scrambler. Wherever he goes defenses will blitz and put up extra men knowing he's one of the smaller quarterbacks who doesn't really run at all. He's started 4 games and has 22 carries for 100 yards and a long rush of 14. The QBR ratings for his starts were 29.7, 57.8 and the last two games 12.9 & 7.9.

I agree Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy aren't the future but right now both of them are more capable. Cousins has had just one start this year where he didn't pass for more than 250+ yards. Both him and McCoy make quicker decisions, get rid of the ball faster and avoid sacks. Cousins has been sacked 8 times in 6 starts, Griffin sacked 20 times in 4 starts

Can I just point out for the hundredth time that McCoy was SUPPOSED to be Cleveland's QB until the Titans took Kendall Wright with the pick right before the Browns in 2012??? Colt didn't really LOSE his starting gig in Cleveland. The Browns were committed to surrounding him with first round talent by picking Trent Richardson with the fourth pick and (supposedly) Kendall Wright with the 20th pick. Instead, the Titans snagged Wright with the 19th pick and the Browns panicked, picking Brandon "Social Security Eligible" Weedon and totally F-ing up their whole plan. So McCoy gets benched in favor of a freak 1st round QB and sent to San Fran behind Colin Kaepernick before being traded to Washington. The guy is solid. I think he definitely makes Washington a more dangerous team than RG3 does.

He kind of got the shaft in Cleveland. They did not really give him the best chance to succeed. He did show some glimpses but his arm was very weak, although accurate. I think he is good enough to fill in and maybe win a couple games. As for RG3, he needs traded and to be in a new situation.
