Default #WeTheNorth: 2014-15 Toronto Raptors

Alright who else is excited for the season to start? Wednesday can't come soon enough. Didn't get tickets to the opener so i'll be heading down to Maple Leaf Square to join the crazies. What's everyone looking forward to this year? How do you think the season will go?

I am pumped. I am looking forward to JV having his breakout season and watching Caboclo and Norgueira. I am a little worried Lowry will have a swollen head and play hero ball but on second though casey will keep him in line i hope.

Looking forward to Ross and JV's development.

DeMar keeps on getting better and that's exciting to. Very happy to see JJ back.

Doesn't look to be the case. I love how the starters have been supporting the young guys too.

I don't really have a team but I like the Wolves. This season however I will follow the Raptors very closely because I follow and collect brazilian players.

How do you rate Bruno's and Lucas' chances of playing this season?

I like them both but they wont see too much time on this deep raptors team. I think Bruno could get some time if Ross disapoints I hope bruno plays more than fields and hamilton.

They'll both get time when its available. But the Raptors are committed to bringing them along slowly and just getting them acclimated to the NBA.

Sloppy game. But still the win. 109-102. On to the next one.

I can't remember the last time i saw a game where the offence looked effortless one minute and then terrible the next. This team as much as any team shoots themselves in the foot with bad shots and bad plays. I can't count the number of times Ross, Lowry, and derozan took terrible shots, forced 3s, trying to go 1 on 4 on the fast break. Sure a few might go in and they might get a few calls but rewarding bad behaviour only reinforces more bad behaviour...so when they don't get the call or the bounce, they give up double digit leads with these bad plays. Ball won't bounce and the whistle won't blow your way on the road. If that game was played on the road, raptors would have lost.

When they keep it simple and the ball moves, they can score the ball but when the ball sticks, and the one on one starts, they're TERRIBLE (offensively).

Shout out to JV for 17 / 8 in only 20 min......shame on jv for picking up those two quick fouls. You can see why people are optimistic about this team but i still think they act their age....more potential than proven capability.

I'm hoping this is just a case of early season conditioning. It sure looked like they (derozan and ross) didn't really have their legs under them yet. Our bigs were the story of the game. Amir and Jonas were beasts. Hansborough looks like he has even more confidence, if that is possible and really provided some energy.

Not sure what it was but seeing those "retro" jerseys tonight got me even more excited about this team. Enjoyed Alvin Williams and Antonio Davis too lol....

I have a feeling after this season purple is going to be a hit and they'll find a way to make it part of the team colors again.

Oh yeah, big win too.

Raptors have been impressive so far. Still can't see them competing in seven game series with cavs or Bulls come playoff time. But who knows.
