A couple, but nothing major. A family matter came up and I actually had to sell a few PC cards. But I can't wait to pick up some more

Gotta get some Abreu autos! Just hit his 33rd HR with a combined 93 RBI on the season. I think he might have the most raw power in baseball...only Stanton challenges him.

Great collection!

I'm a White Sox PC'er myself. Not sure if you do non-card auto's or saw some of the stuff that White Sox charities did during their week of giving, but they were offering up mystery signed balls for $30 + S&H. I picked up 4 - ended up getting Johnny Danks, Jose Quintana x2, and the crown jewel.. Jose Abreu. Highly recommend keeping an eye out next year to see if they do the same.

Agreed. I'd be willing to say that he's the best hitter in baseball right now.

Wow, nice. I've seen those Garage Sale promotions, but I've never gone to one. Do they have an online auction where you can bid on stuff? Thanks for the post!

Wow, those sound like awesome cards. I'd like to pick up a Nellie Auto as well. Hopefully I will get one in the future.

Yeah, it looks like the mystery balls aren't available anymore but there seems to be a steady stream of autographed and game-used stuff available from current and former White Sox players. I try to make it a point to check it out once a week, although I haven't picked up anything other than the mystery balls.

Welcome | whitesox.com: Chicago White Sox Charities

From that main page there is a link to the auction site.

I would have to agree. Ever since Trout's recent slide I can't think of a better offensive player at the moment. Couple more hits for him again...now has a .309 avg.

Huge update guys! I am now starting to collect Sox blue refractors as well, so I'll put them in this thread too.

Chris Sale is currently one of the best pitchers in baseball. He is a 3X All Star (2012-2014). He has over 11 wins in 3 seasons straight and over 200 strikeouts in 2 straight seasons.

Chet Lemon played for the Sox from 1975 to 1981. He was a 2X All Star with the Sox (1978, 1979), and had over 200 career homeruns. He hit .318 in 1979.

Howie Judson played for the Sox from 1948 to 1952. He best season with the Sox came in 1951, when he went 5-6 with a 3.77 ERA.

Daniel Hudson played for the Sox from 2009 to 2010. He best season came in 2011, when he went 16-12 with Arizona.

Avi Garcia is currently with the Sox. He had a bad injury early in the season, but was able to comeback way ahead of schedule. Hopefully he has a nice season next year.

Keenyn Walker is currently in AA. He has a ton of speed.

Keon Barnum is also in AA right now. He hit .253 with 8 homers this year.

Wilson Alvarez played for the Sox between 1991 and 1997. He was an All Star in 1994 and he also threw a no-hitter that same season. He had 15 wins in 1996.

Mike Cameron played for the Sox between 1995 and 1998. He was the guy the Sox traded to get Paul Konerko.

Carlos Sanchez is currently playing for the Sox. He hit .250 in a short stint with the Sox this year.

Kyle McCulloch was the Sox draft pick in 2005. Unfortunately, he never made the Big Leagues.

Willie Harris played for the Sox between 2002 and 2005. He was on the World Series team in 2005, and he scored the winning run in Game 4.

Jayson Nix played for the Sox from 2009 to 2010. He hit 12 homers for the Sox in 2009.

Lyle Mouton played for the Sox from 1995 to 1997. He hit .294 and had 7 homers in 1996.

Jesse Crain played for the Sox from 2011 to 2013. He had a great run with the Sox, including an 0.74 ERA in 2013.

Lance Broadway has a very short stint with the Sox 2007 to 2009. He is also an actor.

Alex Cintron played for the Sox between 2006 and 2007.

Freddy Garcia was a critical part of the rotation for the Sox in 2005. He had 14-8 record that season with a complete game in the ALCS.

and here are the blue refractors I have picked up.

Thanks for reading, and all comments are appreciated.

Haha, thanks. The Sox always drafted control pitchers and toolsy athletes for the longest time. Unfortunately, none of them panned out really.

My post today will not have a ton of new additions, but I feel like quality makes up for quantity in this case.

Frank Thomas played for the White Sox between 1990 and 2005. With the Sox, he was a 5 time All Star (1993-1997), a 4 time Silver Slugger Winner (1991, 1993, 1994, 2000), a 2 time AL MVP (1993 and 1994), a World Series Champion (2005), and he hit 448 homers with the Sox. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame this year, and his #35 is retired by the Sox.

Minnie Minoso had 5 different stints with for the Sox (1951-1957, 1960-1961, 1964, 1976, and 1980). He was a 9 time All Star, and his #9 is retired by the Sox.

Alexei Ramirez has played for the White Sox from 2008-now. He is a 2 time Silver Slugger winner (2010, 2014), and an All Star (2014). He has 99 career homers.

Adam "Spanky" Eaton is currently with the Sox as well. He hit exactly .300 this year.

Nick Swisher played for the Sox in 2008. He had 24 homers that year, but only hit .219.

Let me know what you think of my new additions. Thanks!

Have you added any Jose Abreu to your collection lately or still too expensive?
