Trust me if I had a BGS 9.5 LeBron I would sell it for $45k right now to you at a discount.

How many Lebron James Exquisites contain a 3cl patch. As a high end Crosby collector there are approximately 22-25 3cl cup rc's .

When dealing with a card of this caliber, a BGS 9.5/10 could easily double the raw value. These exquisite cards are extremely sensitive which always makes them even more valuable.
Also, no owner out there would let their lebron exquisite rookie go for less than $20k+ is what it seems like. Good luck getting them for $11k lol |

Yeah, I followed much of his rookie Exquiste prices from 2011-now, but one thing I didn't take into account was private sales data and the fact that him going back to Cleveland may cause his rookie card prices rise in the intermediate. Now if he wins a title in Cleveland in the next few years, $50k for this card will certainly be reached sooner than later. |

So if his BGS 9.5 Exquisite RC #/99 is around $30k with him back in Cleveland, where could you see the price at had he stayed in Miami? |

That deal I worked with the guy for 30K was during the finals and I'm pretty sure we all knew he was gonna lose. He told me if Lebron won that it would be slightly more. This move has hyped it in the same way. Im sure he's watching this auction closely. This card sales close to 40K then it will raise the bar for a 9.5 which is possible. Trust me he will know ether the guy selling it personaly or the one buying it. He's really connected with Exquisite collectors.

You know if he would have stayed in Miami I think it would have diped slightly like 27K at least until he made another run at a title. But in the long run I think most will agree this is gonna be a good investment. For someone keeping it till he retires I see no risk unless he does something awful off the court.
I know another guy with a BGS 9.5 and spoke with him and he said he is absolutly not interested in selling it no matter what price is offered. Maybe I missed my chance but I'm satisfied with what I have. |

I don't blame him. I wouldn't sell a LeBron BGS 9.5 either, at least not until decades down the line, if at all. Same goes for your card, unless somehow you could sell it for a good enough price then put the proceeds into buying the BGS 9.5 without having to come out of pocket to much more. |

Gee. This seems like the crux of every high end Jordan insert 'shill' conspiracy theory thread on here, amirite? But you'll never see those same people posting in a Lebron James thread...(hence the term, 'hate')I'd probably say around 20k raw, and probably 30k+ for a nice 9.5 copy. Who really knows, they don't pop up often and the people that have them are holding them hostage. I'd love to see what the 23/23 gold would sell for at open auction. I would think any LeBron rpa's that changes hands are done privately...
In the past few months there have been several on ebay but they were listed at an outrageously high price and suddenly taken down after a few days, replaced by a random picture and no trace that it was a LeBron exq rpa unless you had it on your watch list and remembered what it was. I would imagine if they ever sell, it is off of ebay. I did see a raw one a year or so back listed by an Asian seller, mini-sea - sold as BIN for 13,500. The condition was not great and it was a one or two color plain patch but it was snagged fairly quickly. It was listed late night and picked up in the morning before I woke up. Even with the condition not being that good, it seemed like a steal. |

Thanks for this thread and the tips on the current going rate. I unfortunately sold a couple of RAW copies years ago when they were around 8K, but have recently been looking for a nice 3 Color BGS 9.5 to add to my PC. Being from Ohio and a longtime Cleveland fan, I sure hope my bid gets accepted, or at least reasonably countered. Crossing my fingers =)

Yes the guy that snagged that one sold me mine. That was the first one he offered me for 17k and It was a sliver away from a 1 color. It wasn't worth 17k to me that patch was an eyesore. |

Just imagine what this King James card would go for if there weren't so many three color patches. 3cl Crosby Cup Rc's go for over 25k . Crazy!

If a Michael Jordan "Flashback" card can reach $40k, I'm assuming that the true rookie card of one of the greatest of all time graded 9.5 could reach the same heights. I know it wouldn't even be a decision for me if I were to choose between the two.

blowout members monopoly money estimate - $50k
reality when you are the one actually shelling out the cash - $25k It's hilarious when folks who make less than $50k a year and/or still live in their parent's basements give estimates of what monster cards should sell for. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but people need to back up their estimates with hard evidence of what they actually paid for one - those are the people I would believe. |
