this guy is overrated. He's lucky if he is still in the majors five years from now..mark him off, BUST!!!

give him time guys, he's been up for ONE WEEK

My only concern is his ability to stay healthy. If he could manage to stay on the field, he is going to be a very good player.

If he has one 3 for 4 game, his batting average would suddenly look excellent. Why? He's been up ONE WEEK.

Fact is, guy has been on base in every game except one, including three times yesterday. He is hitting the ball hard but not finding any gaps (hit a single today but was robbed on a diving play by Melky Cabrera). Baseball is a sport where if you fail 7 of 10 times, you're considered amazing. Once his luck turns around, he will be ROTY material at a .280, 10 HR clip.

Read his second line. He was mocking the guy I quoted.

Everything above is correct.. Anyone who has watched his at bats have seen that he's just simply in the getting to know major league pitchers process. He's not been overwhelmed, doesn't look scared, and has taken a lot of pitches, and has hit the ball hard. He'll be just fine

Another line-out for Oscar. Even though he's unlucky, he needs to start finding gaps otherwise he'll be headed back to AAA when Adams returns.

Lineout #2, to the track in left.

Back to .200 for Oscar.

lol, yeah he's been super unlucky. He's been hitting it hard, but right at the other team's fielders.

I'd assume he will be back in Memphis next week, to be perfectly honest. Can't play him at .200 and you can't sit him, either.

Sure they can play him. Not like they have a ton of options. Why in the world would they send him back? They at the least could use some OF depth, where they are getting very little production.

It's very likely. Unless Craig and Adams platoon, Taveras is going back to Memphis.

This is actually the second time in two games Taveras has been pulled for Grichuck late in the game (for a Lefty / Righty match-up). Odd because Taveras hits lefties better than Grichuck hits lefties but so it goes.

They were actually on the same side of a previous Taveras debate. Let's just say that one isn't trending in favor of the side they took.

Tough break for the kid, but looks like he may not be quite ready for the bigs yet.

We all saw what happened to Trout on his late call-up his first year.

Not necessarily saying he'll benefit from the same fate, but another year may do him some good.

The hobby simple tens to overreact to first game heroics. Saw the same thing with Marte, Machado...list goes on and on.

I wouldn't say that. His BABIP is stupid low right now, he is hitting the ball hard (with the lowest swing and miss rate in baseball).

It's just 10 lousy games. Sending him back to AAA wouldn't be because he's not ready, only because the Cardinals are back to not having a place for him to play.
