I always play this way. Draft mostly Titans, but like to be able to grab different rookies that are available. Makes being a GM tougher when the rookie contracts are up.

I just grabbed Madden 2010 yesterday at target for $13 for the psp since '11 was released. I have '09 and I'm sure it is all the same. In the past I used to buy the new one every year when I had a PS2 and gave up around the '06 release and then sold the ps2.
Now can you still rent NCAA and sim some seasons and save the rosters of draftees to import to Madden? I used to like to do that.

I guess if you win the Super Bowl you get to watch a clip of your team with a video game likeness of President Obama.

Haters will hate anyway, might as well ignore them.
Why ignore reasonable complaints? It has nothing to do with "hating"

I usually buy the game every year and still might. Just feels like it's being played in slow motion.

Plus, with games like this common sense has to say they don't release a game every year just because the rosters change. Improvements should be expected every year I don't think that's too much to ask for. Last year's game was a disappointment but I'm not throwing the franchise out the window.

Reasonable complaints are okay, of course.

But haters are just annoying.

I love the game, year in and year out but yes, I am a little annoyed about the lack of change in the Franchise mode, my favorite one.

But haters will jump on what ever they can just to throw the game under the bus or say that it was better 10 years ago one the PS1.

Seriously.

Well, I've been playing Madden since the 90s and I can tell you that the gameplay hasn't improved that much since 2000 or 2001 when 2k was pushing them. The only thing I can say is the audible system is more powerful now and they finally have the run blocking working again after breaking it a few years ago.

I'm not a hater, I'd just like it to be better. NCAA 11 is proof that EA is capable of putting out a better football game.

I heard that there was a bug with NCAA's franchise after 3-4 years.

I wanted to buy it and then I've got second tought.

Someone takes there madden a little too seriously. The previous posters you think are "haters" are just providing some constructive criticism, which I bet EA Sports would love to get feedback on. You did the same when you said you were annoyed at the lack of change in franchise.

One of the main reasons people buy the new madden each year, is that most of the people that played online on the previous madden will now be playing online with the new Madden.

I only play online unless the internet is down, franchise bores me as I know I am playing a computer.

I love playing online and seeing other people make mistakes that I can take advantage of, it is impossible to juke the computer manually ( with the joy stick ) however when playing online it is ridiculously easy to juke people and even easier in person.

I am going to be winning Madden Nation one day, you people just wait and see (:

Online was horrible in the past as it's full of people going deep or choosing a scrambling Q B like Vick. That ruined old maddens for me online

Well,

I played half a game this morning before work at All-Pro and here's a couple of notes / critics.

- All-Pro is too easy, I'm scoring at will. Gotta go back to All-Madden / Penalty Tweaked version that I used last year.

- Got 225 yards on 12 carries with Chris Johnson versus Kansas City. Was even able to run out of the Shotgun. So the blocking thing really really works but like I said before, All-Pro is way too easy.

- I don't like the Strategy Pad, it's too slow. The various buttons were a time savers and when the opponent is in hurry up, time is the essence.

- The 'juking' thing is not that effective. But trucking works and the RB will fall forward.

- Vince Young is an awful passer.

- Pass Coverage from the CPU is not great on either side. There is always on open man fairly quick.

- But, pass rush is better than ever.

The game plays better than last year, it's undeniable. It's smoother and the commentary is less annoying. I love the fact that you don't have to use the Turbo button but I think the 'assist defense' button is completely useless and will increase your positioning error instead of fixing it.

The tackle stick is also refined and you can't just hard tackle the rusher because he will break the tackle. I like that but it's an adjustment you have to make from previous year.

All in all, the game is better but it's revolutionary.
