Ginter code cracked

By the same guy who did it last year. Truth be told, the code was actually pretty easy to decipher, but it was a pretty dick move by topps to not tell you what the code was until you emailed them.

is that about right?

At this point everyone in the world seemed to be focused on why there were no Stephen Strasburg cards like Topps said there would be. I could care less, I just wanted to hurry up and crack the code before someone else did! I was thinking the same thing. I remember Brent saying that someone was calling every 10 min asking for scans/code cards. Or something like that. Gotta be annoying while you are breaking 25 cases and trying to get them listed. What a douche for slamming someone who took time to scan the front and back of those cards and sent them to him.

I couldn't even coherently follow how to do it when spelled out in front of me in the guy's blog..I'll leave the code 'cracking' to these guys....thanks but no thanks. congrats to them though.

Completely agree with you CBo. If I were Brent, I'd be blocking this guys phone number. How full of himself is this guy? Maybe he'll be the World Champion D-Bag on his 2011 Card.

I don't care if this guy breaks the code next year, the year after that, or the next 10 years. I doesn't effect me at all as I don't get into trying. But for him to devote his entire life to breaking the code for a week and then throwing the person who was willing to help him for FREE under the bus after he finishes is completely classless. Enjoy your "fame" Mr Jacoby, I'm sure all those cards will be comforting after you've burnt all the bridges of friendship with those around you that try to help.

Plus everyone who thought he was helping you solve the puzzle and sharing input on here, I didn't see those names mentioned.

Brent posted the scans of those cards on here for free while some were charging $10 per scan, for that I say thanks Brent!

I don't have the patience to sit there and try and figure out their little puzzle. Who do they think I am, the Riddler? If I'm ever on a trading card, and there's still time, it'll be for something a bit more worthy than solving a puzzle.. hopefully. Perhaps a card commemorating my landing on Uranus.. Hehehe huh huh.. Hello everyone! First off, I never slammed Brent about anything, I was mad at myself for allowing him to think they were the code cards. And I only talked to Brent on the phone two or three times, and one of those times he called me. The code was discussed only in one of those phone calls. Sorry to anyone that thinks I "threw him under the bus", if it came across that way it wasn't meant to. That was supposed to be a humorous part of the story because in the end it didn't mean anything. I'm not mad at Brent at all because in the end, that is what put everyone on the opposite path like I said in my story. That was supposed to be a funny part of the story, sorry you didn't see it that way!

You guys can bash me and burn my cards all you want, none of that is going to bother me, haha. I'll even send you some of my extras!

To the people who congratulated me, sincere thanks!

By the way, one of the people from my team (Tony M.) is also a member here...he goes by 'footsteps'. Make sure you are nicer to him than you are to me though!!

Talk about being an ungrateful ahole. Just read the story and his lame excuse post which read nothing alike and are full of contradictions. Basically this loser can't afford more than one case of A&G and USED Brent, who is known to break huge amounts of A&G every year, to try and get FREE information and scans even though Brent is trying to rip, sort and list 25 cases worth of A&G. Pretty nice of Brent to take time to even talk to this guy. It's one thing to be a slime ball and try getting the info and scans from Brent without tipping him off to why he was asking but to then take a shot at Brent like he owed him something and shouldn't have talked to anyone else about the cards after the fact just shows everyone else what a dick this guy really is.

Tough to see any reason to be proud of this since he used someone then acted like an ungrateful ahole afterwards. GL next year, better start looking for another guy ripping 25 or more cases early to use. Either that or start saving he can afford more than one case on his own.

Article won't be re-written, but I did add a thanks to Brent...my article was never meant to slam Brent, it was supposed to be funny, but re-reading it I could see how you could take it as such.

Don't get me wrong, I never said Brent couldn't give anyone any information, I was mad at myself for letting the information slip.

I would give him credit if he cracked the code by himself, but he didn't. He had like 5 other people help him crack the code, but he gets all the credit/prizes and the other people just get a "thanks"? What a joke
