I actually read somewhere that they were doing a 4 or 5 issue arc in SSM now after the venom one concludes that will involve the goblin and that would be the last of the SSMs. I personally hope that report was wrong.

I will NOT be getting into this new ASM. I agree with the posters above about all the relaunches...enough is enough. I personally don't understand it myself. Why do relaunches? I mean SSM #1 could have easily been ASM #701 and just go from there. Make it all one contiguous thing, why all these damn separate titles. Oh right cuz then we have to spend more $$$ to keep up with everything. Yeah well to hell with that. I'm hip to your game Marvel and I'm not playin...

I think we all knew that this day would eventually be here where Peter Parker returns, but I didn't expect it to be so soon. But like nate and nbk said, the timing with the movie should bring in more $$$$. Just like when Marvel pushed back the Age of Ultron storyline by a couple of years to line up with the movie announcement.

I'm sure there will be eleventy+ variants, and like a sucker I will pick up a few. Do you think there will be movie variants????? :special:

They should have a 1: 5,10,15,20,25...all the way to 100. All with varying pictures of Stan Lee holding money and money bags, laughing.

I might...and I stress MIGHT check this out IF and ONLY IF they spin it like they did with SSM. Superior Spider-man is basically a direct continuation after ASM 700 right? So if they somehow work it into the end of SSM that Peter Parker returns and gets his body back and then from there the new ASM takes off...that would at least make sense and I might give it a whirl. But if its a full reboot that kinda just builds its own world like nothing previous ever happened then I'll happily leave it on the shelf.

Reboot = Jumping off point for me. That'll leave me with no Marvel books on my pull. Daredevil, Wolverine and X-men, Thor and now Spidey all rebooted. At least some of the stuff Image announced today with help fill the void.

Image has been putting out some pretty solid stuff and I too am finding that the majority of the stuff on my pull list is coming from them these days.

What people can't seem to realize is that Marvel and DC Comics really don't care about you and your feelings toward the characters in the comic. They want you to buy as much as possible. That is their drive and purpose, those days of creators and fans sharing a common thread are long dead here. It's a business and corporate is looking to gain market share and PROFITS. Why do you think they make multiple covers for? To please the comic fan.... Why do fans keep getting sucked into their hypnotizing beam every time a new book or re-re-relaunch of a title gets printed. They are laughing at us right to the bank... keep buying those 10 variant covers of that HOT #1 that a company like BLEEDING COOL keeps HYPING. This is all like a game of chess and we are the pawns. This has been going on since I can remember. I just don't get it. Wake up people realize you're being duped. I see some members here waking up from this non-sense. If people begin to resist the lure(drop in sales) and voice their opinion(drop the title) they may consider to listen to the fan instead of pretending to do so. My brother-in -law was a huge Spider-man fan for many years until Marvel decided to raise the price of ASM and add more ads than story. He left reading Marvel comics... He had enough and saw the light. There are so many other publishers out there with great stories and characters that listen to fans. Sorry for the long rant... it gets me so mad when Marvel does this stuff and more when fans fall for it time and time again.

is that the cover ? omg !! so terrible . im done so freekin done with this crap . am i the only one that hates humbertos work ? its obvious marvel is going to eventualy re boot every single title . so why not just do it the right way ? dc did it all in one month . re bot the whole damn thing .


also i have said it a million times if your realy serious about a re boot , do it right and have your best artists writers on the books , especialy something like amazing .

DC at least rebooted their whole universe and allowed for the Earth 2 stuff which is fun. Marvel ONLY, ONLY, ONLY cares about comics as it relates to their movies. Anything that gets in the way of their movie promotion gets killed.

Bagley I enjoy also..I would be interested to see that Katie who did uber I think, take a shot at it, or even our own Larime. I just think the variant craze is un-needed, but its a way for the co. to make more money..I just wish it went mostly to the writer and artist, thats where the money deserves to go
