Default Buying pre-sale cases on ebay?

Is it trustworthy? I feel like I got an awesome deal on 2013 chrome but am hesitant because they are getting money for something that isn't even released. Has anyone done this that give me some insight?

I have read of a few people getting burned on this. I would send a small deposit or at least make sure the release is very soon. You only have 45 days for a claim. If the product comes out in 46 days you are screwed with no protection.

Unless you paid using a credit card that was linked to your paypal account. You would be able to contact the credit card company and there is no time limit. Thats what i heard. Correct me if im wrong

As long as you buy within the protection time-frame and you can do without the money I don't see an issue. Yea you might not get it but if you cant live without the money for that long you shouldn't be purchasing it anyway.

Ive tried twice one person had around 7000 feedback and both times ive had to file a claim. Trying to save a few bucks isnt worth the headache. I'd use blowout or your favorite dealer.

I did this with two cases of 2012 Chrome baseball and one worked out and one I had to file a claim on. I did end up saving a few hundred doing it this way, and to me filing a claim wasn't much work or stress as the guy never responded to emails from me or PayPal. So they refunded as soon as the claim window was open. Like others said, make sure it is within the 45 day window or use a credit card.

Your best bet is just to use blowout or other well known sites. Why risk buying something from someone you don't know. At least when you buy from blowout you know they are a legit company and you will get what you order. Sometimes trying to saving a few bucks just costs you that money in the end.

Agree. Buying something not in hand on eBay is just asking for a headache.

Buy from Blowout Cards, it's a better source that's trustworthy with competitive pricing.

The risk of a "deal too good to be true" usually ends up being that way, so most pennywise pound foolish bargain shoppers regret trying to save nickles and dimes chasing a bargain.

Pre-sales from eBay Sellers is just a way to help them fund their purchase or get their deal (and if it becomes sizzling hot, don't be surprised if you get a refund and they tell you they couldn't get it, and end up selling it for a higher price), and it can end up in 3 ways:

1) You get the product.

2) You lose your money.

3) You get your money back, but lose the opportunity to get the product, and potentially have to pay a higher price elsewhere.

Why is it that people in this hobby seem to not use common sense? Give someone you don't know $600-800 1 or 2 months before the product has even been released. Why? What makes sense about that?

The person will take your money, withdraw it out of their throw-away Paypal account, never give you the case(s) you ordered, and still keep the money you gave them. Then, you'll be stuck paying the inflated prices once the cases are live.

Save yourself the time and go through a reputable source, i.e. Blowout, etc., but stick with a company, not a person.

NOTE: If you have to come on here and ask "Is this a good idea? Is it safe?", chances are, it's not.
