For value, yes. For actual play on the field, no. It's a quality group of players, but the issue is that I don't see any one of these guys that would command the price of a box themselves on the secondary market. It's bad for the card market. EJ and Geno are the best hits and are likely to remain that way despite what guys like CPatt, Gio, Woods, etc. do. Unless they set records, they just aren't going to help the card market.

i agree this year draft is terrible in terms of buying and flipping. This year draft is ok if your a collector since these players whould help teams win for years but i agree i feel there might be one player who turns into a hof of this class...

now next year class sae your money for. Since there will be huge name and good players going to teams that are marketable.

I think this is a good class for the NFL as far as talent and depth go. This could be a very good class in a couple of seasons.

Good for collectors PC'ing, but not so good for flippers/sellers.

"How can you say Marcus Lattimore if he has zero statistics in the regular season? Christine Michael has done better than him. 37 rushing yards compared to Lattimore's zero"

Can you read?? I listed him in a category with "potential." Frank Gore is getting older and Lattimore IF healthy could be the next starter for SanFran. A big IF though.

Agree with this. He's been improving from the drops in the first 2 games. And, to his credit, the rain during the Jets game was pretty heavy for pretty much of the second half.

If Andre Ellington gets the ball more, which he should over Mendenhall, he's going to have a pretty good year. Averaging 6.2 yards per carry and 12.6 yards per catch. Just watch what he did to Revis last week and you will see that he has potential.

Is Jordan Reed the rookie of the year in this pathetic class.

Make no mistakes about it, even in the real life draft (forget about card collecting and fantasy football), this year's crop of rookies was all about DEFENSE (27 of the 1st 32 picks were DEFENSIVE player positions and only 5 of 32 were offensive positions), you look at the players drafted in the 1st round and even 2nd round (20 of the 32 picks were Defensive players).

No QB, RB or WR from this 2013 draft would have made it 'til the 3rd round of last year's 2012 offense oriented draft.

It was purely a case of "the best of bad options" when drafting players like Tavon Austin (#8), EJ Manuel (#16), Tyler Eifert (#21), DeAndre Hopkins (#24) and Cordarelle Patterson (#29) in the 1st round.

Giovanni Bernard (2nd Round #37), Geno Smith (2nd Round #39), Le'Veon Bell (2nd Round #48), Montee Ball (2nd Round #58), and Eddy Lacy (2nd Round #61) shows actually that overall, the players scouted were so mediocre in the crop that I'm thinking the offensive position 2nd round players will outperform the 1st round players from the 2013 draft.

Football isn't just about individual stats, it's about the team, so I hope inherent to the theory that "Defense Wins Games" that this years draft helps allow teams as well as individual offensive players (protection!) to improve too.

From a card collecting standpoint, I'd avoid the 2013 cards for a few years and see who shakes out to be the creme of the crop. I'd rather spend more on a card I could have gotten cheaper of 1-2 players than speculate and invest in 5-10 players who are overpriced and will bust.

I'll never buy a box from 2013 ever again. God awful rookie class.
