Default Starting vintage

Well after a 13 year absence from cards I am getting back into it. I have been lurking here for a few months, (I know about Mikec and jaderocking etc. lol) trying to learn about the new cards, and with all that is going on with that I have decided on Vintage. Mainly 2 players, Luke Easter and Brooks Robinson. I have about a third of Easters available cards already so will be focusing on Brooks for a while. I think I am going to go with raw High Grade cards. I am looking for something that may have a long term potential of holding its value. Anyone want to buy some 90's inserts? lol. But I was just wondering other than Ebay what would be the best way to start? Locally We have No shops, and all the Chantilly show seems to be is New cards and a lot of overpriced local stars. Thanks guys!

I'm in the same boat here...only a couple shows a year and one dealer with nice vintage. Aside from Ebay, you best options are here and the Net54 forum which is more vintage based. I mostly just save up for the National and go crazy there, but will pick up a few things in between.
