The only way the OP knows about this is if someone told him. If anyone one of us walk up to a table and see that, we'd ask about it, and probably walk away saying "Neat" or "Cool Pull"

And since the OP did not hear this straight from the horses mouth; it means Mike went blabbing to someone about what he had done. Why he would do this doesn't make much sense to me ... perhaps he though it was pretty cool to do this and get away with it IDK. But there is no doubt based on the evidence, and even more-so by Mike's responses that he did this, and is trying to sell this as something more than a BGS 8 Oswaldo Arcia Refractor auto.

So now what?

Why if he is so engaged with BGS would he exploit their faults?

College kid / stupid idea. I wouldn't analyze it any further than that I think ... but it's a good question.

I don't like the "nobody is going to buy it" answer. All it takes is for one person on ebay to fall for it.

7+ pages. Calling it now.

d-bags like you should be banned from ebay and BO. Who knows what other schemes your using now trying to con unsuspecting BO members and ebay users out of their money.

What I don't get is that Mike (amongst a select group on here) seem to be pretty much at the 'baller' status with some of the nastiest cards I've ever seen. They can and do buy/sell the highest dollar cards available. That said, why blow your rep over a (maybe) $200 opporunity? That's what I don't understand. $200 on top of all that other dough that you're rolling around in....what is the point?

The first thing I did after I did a quick search online for another like it was start a thread on BO asking for more information. It's the normal thing to do when you know about baseball cards, and you become stumped at what you've pulled.

I was waiting for it to make it's way down here. Should grab the attention of the main BODA agents.

There was a story last year of a VP type of guy who made $200,000 or more a year. He would go into Toys R Us with UPC labels he made that would ring things up at $4 and $5 and place them on $50-$100 Lego items.

He would then sell those items on Ebay. Why did he do it? Because he could.

Seriously? DO you have proof of this? Not at all calling you a liar, but very very curious.

I kinda doubt you would grade it to keep from "all the whining" or whatever you said. We all know BGS doesn't authenticate autographs when you send it in for just grading. It's not like you to grade an off centered card like that.

Yeah you always hear stories like this.........it's always the small stones that get overturned and they "usually" lead into BIGGER and more juicer findings of misconduct and wrongdoings. Just sad and unfortunate. All I can say is WOW.

How long until someone buys it at the show for a "really good price"?

Wow. This thread is really going downhill for the seller of this card. The lack of desire to respond is sad, and I agree completely with The Jerk Store in regard to -- if a strange card is pulled, one posts about it.

No one is immune to the shadiness that pervades throughout this hobby.
