Have $85 to spend on a box, what should I get?

Going to surprise my cousin who collects basketball, the only thing is that I don't know this side of the hobby too well.
Any suggestions? Would like to stay away from a bunch of base cards, but don't want a one-pack product either.
Can't spend a penny more, thanks in advance for the help.

Check last years past & present. A lot of nice inserts and you get 3 hits I believe. Most of the stuff is meh, but there's a chance at a few nice things.

No can do, need to buy very soon and have a fixed amount to play with regardless.

If it can be from a couple years ago I like 10-11 Classics, I like 09-10 Classics better if you can find it for a little bit lower price.
