What's the deal with his first Chrome card? I saw a 2012 mock-up that as far as I can tell was never actually made.

I think I heard he used to be a janitor like 3 years ago and he just decided to go back to baseball, lol. He is so powerful to have gone away from baseball that long. What will happen when McCann comes back lol?

They have unreleased test autos selling on Ebay. I guess they never gave it to him to sign!

Oh yeah. His Super recently sold for $575. If I had known who he was I would have won it

To be honest I thought he would actually have a chance of getting a win against the Bravos unlike all the rest of the pitchers this year. He will get pulled very soon so he can forget that!

I didnt see that but dang they make mistakes every now and then nobody is perfect in the MLB and thats not even his position. Strasburg made a mistake too and it cost him 2 runs

Yes it was but he was playing first base that day and he is a catcher. He had only played seven games on first base in his minor league career.

Yeah I mean you cant make that as an excuse because it is a pop fly BUT everyone makes errors every now and then, its nothing to stress over.

Do you guys seriously think he's going to continue to play on a regular basis once McCann comes back ? I mean the first couple of weeks I can see McCann getting extra time off to play it safe maybe play 2 games get a game off in addition to his usual day after night game and Sundays. But once he proves he can play with no restrictions Gattis is going to quickly be forgotten and move into a David Ross role.

By the time they inserted him into any kind of set his prices would be dirt cheap.

If Gattis is still hitting as well as he is now when McCann returns he will most likely make a platoon (like he did at 3B) and have Gattis to continue to catch for a couple of the starting pitchers and McCann the other three. Those seem to be the rumors going around Braves nation. Still 2-3 weeks before McCann returns so no need to worry about it yet. As of right now Freddie Gonzalez DOES NOT want to take him out of the lineup, he is only using Laird every fifth day for Teheran (only because FG feels he wants a veteran catching a rookie) and even then FG put Gattis at 1B (which he has only done seven times in the minors).

This is more than likely McCann's last year as a Braves so Evan Gattis is basically getting prepped to be the full time catcher next year.
