That checklist does show the card I have, it would be the 94A-AR autograph version.

In that checklist, there are cards listed as Autographs: A-Rod Throwback Autographed Base Cards. There is a card in there numbered 95A-AR. This is the same as your card.

The back of this card I don't think is the autograph version.

This is the back of one of the parallel versions of the non auto'd cards from this set. Note that it has both a serial number, and the word refractor on it. Your card has neither of these things.

My card wouldn't have that on the back because it is the autograph version.

This checklist was preliminary, meaning that it could have changed since then. Note that the parallel auto versions aren't on this checklist. I think that they meant to make base autos, for all years, but then ended up making a chrome for '97, refractor for '96, x-fractor for '95, and a superfractor for '94.

I have said this over and over and if you or someone would like they can verify this with Topps but there is no superfractor version of this card. This is the 2005 Bowman Chrome A-Rod Throwback Autographs 94A-AR card.

At some point they did make some of the base ones for '94, and they accidentally made their way into packs. I don't believe yours was backdoored. But, it was never meant to be a 1/1 and as such is not one.

Again I think you are mistaken, they did make arod throwback inserts and arod throwback autographs and again the card pictured is the 2005 Bowman Chrome A-Rod Throwback Autographs 94A-AR and you can confirm this with Topps.


This explanation fits your beliefs that 1. Your card wasn't backdoored and came in a pack and 2. The 94 throwback version is supposed to be a 1/1. It doesn't fit you thinking you have the only one in existence though.

I have not seen another one like mine. I have seen someone post the front of a card like mine but they never followed through with a scan of the back of the card. They also said their card might have the stickers attached but again they never followed up to tell me if this was accurate or not.

They intended to make these cards.
They didnt intend to put them into packs.
Best guess is they were intended for player use.

Topps routinely makes cards for player use.
The only "error" is that it made it into packs.
I have also shown you the NON auto version of the superfractor.

So lets make sure we have all the facts straight shall we?
There IS a non au Chrome Superfractor
But you refuse to believe the AU version is also a superfractor despite being listed as SF

Your card has no auto ,no stickers, no 1/1 stamp, isnt a superfractor and topps stated an unknown number of the cards like yours were inserted into packs.

therefore yours is the true 1/1 auto

Furthermore, despite the fact that you didnt pull it from a pack youve been after Topps for some 8 years to get them to have it autod stickered and stamped as the true 1/1, despite them saying they know dang well they accidentally inserted an unknown number of them into packs

And of course when someone else show you a pic of another card just like yours, it is immediatley dismissed.

There IS a non supe 1/1 auto as well. But its listed as BOWMAN (not chrome)

The Topps checklists for this set confirms it is a 1/1. I have included a full scan and there is no other card this card could be other than the 1/1 2005 Bowman Chrome A-Rod Throwback Autographs 94A-AR card.

Like I have said repeatedly I believe that Beckett or perhaps Topps made the original error and listed this as a SF and it was copied and pasted to numerous other sites and was never corrected.
