Favorite Basketball Card Design

Since joining this forum not too long ago, I've been reading a few discussions between members debating which card set is better, if Fleer Retro is good or bad, yada yada yada... Well in this post, I just want to know what everyone's favorite card is in terms of a particular design whether it came from the 90s or the 2000s, Exquisite or National Treasures, etc...

As for me, my all time favorite card design is the 08-09 Exquisite Emblems of Endorsements (EE). I think Upper Deck came out with the best designs for Exquisite in the 2008 set (Limited Logos, Noble Nameplates), but the creativity that they especially put in the EE format tops all of my other favorite card designs (Jambalayas, PMGs, Rubies)

it's just too bad UD didn't come out with a "Number Pieces" in the '08 set...

I have said the same thing and can only reiterate what you said. Emblems is Beautiful and 08/09 was by far the Best Looking Set Ever and the RC class is superb.

thanks, I hope that this thread will catch the attention of hobby card companies and maybe return their focus on "creating" original designs again..

HELLO?!.. PANINI?! can you hear me?! since you own the NBA license, can you be more creative in your card designs?!

But if Panini tries to be creative like that, people will just rip them for stealing UD's ideas lol.

I love the 2009-10 Studio product as a whole, lots of nice looking cards.

I've never owned, but always loved those 08-09 Emblems.

Clean, tidy cards with a bit of foil really appeal to me. Things like the Consummate Masters, Ultimate Virtuoso - which itself seems to be based on something like this beauty:

I LOVE Flair showcase. I remember the first card I ever bought was Allen Iverson Rookie. It cost me $25 (but is now worth about $1) but the Class of 1996 is my favorite

I really liked the Writing Samples from 08-09 UD Radiance. On card autographs with a nice reflective finish. It would have been a fun set to put together. This isn't my particular card anymore but I still have a couple of these.

90s inserts were the best. skybox and fleer metal had the best looking inserts in my opinion.

Currently, the card design that really does it for me is this one....

YES! Michael Jordan Meltdown insert! I love this design as well. Honestly though I have a hard time picking a favorite design because there are so many to choose from.
