mjbentzen I also find this a little hard to belive. An Ebay Powerseller with 6000+ feedback and you dont take paypal? To be honest, the 3% while still a twist of the ebay/paypal knife in the back, makes things much easier (instant payment, automated shipping and buyer notification), and as a Powerseller you know as well as we do while a PITA, the eDC is a comfort feature most like.

I have a trader rating on cardboardvillage.com (130) and cardtradingfools.com (300+)

I dont screw people, because I know how it feels-- reason I dont trade on Beckett.com or traderretreat anymore.

Paypal is a joke, i sell something for $5 and after fees i am down to $3.50... that is crap.

vito123 is not me, is my good friend of 25yrs... who sells a lot of my cards on ebay for me, I dont have an ebay/paypal account anymore due to a ordeal where they screwed me... sold a 1/1 autograph for $800, insured and delivery confirmed with signature return card, to the seller, seller received- delivery confirmed via USPS, left positive feedback. 3 weeks later buyer filed claim that never received, and even with my delivery confirm (signature from buyer even) they reversed the payment in 12 hrs. So... that is why I dont mess with paypal.

I have a pending sale ($80) with jstapleton71 on here. you can contact him in couple days when he receives the cards.

Also, if you want to send a personal check, then do so.. he did, took 4 days to clear, but thats fine. Also, my shipping is free for orders over $10... you can buy 5 cards and i send them FREE.

I agree..but thats not paypal,thats ebay. paypal on a $5 sale is at best .45 cents.

I had a sale yesterday on ebay for 4.99 BIN w/Free Ship. .35 to list, .60 final fee, .44 in paypal fees. 2.09 to ship (shipping cost, not my handling or supplies), take another .09 for my label, .08 for my bubble mailer...grand total was left with 1.34 to consider profit for the 26 cd lot I shipped....a whopping .05 per card (which the 08 Chrome FB Tippetts HOF booked at 2.00 ea, but couldnt move them locally)....so we take what we can get.

but I guess are point here is unless you are planning to ship first on all transactions here, many people aren't going to be very interested since you don't take paypal. Espicially now we know that your ebay account isn't acutally yours.

Not saying you are gonig to screw anyone over, but for the amount of people who buy on these boards, that is what they prefer.

like me.. I am VERY interested in your bruce lee mem piece... but since you don't take paypal, I am very hesitant. Unless you can send first ... it's gonna be hard.

OK, but ebay doesn't come into the picture when you are selling cards on this site. The point iluvfish2 was making is that most of your fees from eBay sales are on the eBay portion of the transaction not the paypal side.

The bottom line is that accepting paypal would definitely improve your chances of making some sales here. Sure there will be a small fee, but in the end if you are able to move a much larger volume of cards then it works out in your favor assuming that the fee is not causing you to sell the cards for less than you paid for them.
