Default A very "Terrific" flea market haul

Had the best day at the flea market ever. I'll have pics up later to show everything, but I got 20 packs of Pokemon cards for $10 (don't hate, they sell good), a 2nd year 1966 Tony Perez for a quarter, the original Grand Theft Auto for PC and an N64 Gameshark Pro for $1 ($0.50 each). Also got a Shakespeare fishing rod and reel in great shape for $5

Now the good stuff.

I got a low numbered series 1989 UD unopened box AND a high numbered box for $25 ($12.50 each). I'm currently now deciding whether to bust the 1989 UD and try for a Griffey high grade or sell it. If that wasn't enough, however, the best was yet to come.

I walked by this table with a lot of different stuff, and I noticed a ball and a glove. I looked at the glove first and it was nothing special, but I notice side of the ball and could see "official ball: American League" on it, so I picked it up to see how much they wanted for it. That's when I saw the signature (and by the title of the thread, you probably know what's coming). I asked them how much they wanted for it, and the guy said that since he had no idea who signed it, he'd take $5. I handed him his money and walked away with an official American League baseball (Bobby Brown pres.) autographed Tom "Terrific Seaver.

So yeah, good day at the flea market!!

Today I went to Collinsville Trade Day today. Probably gonna head over to Mountain Top tomorrow. Collinsville always has a lot of cards and collectibles. Mountain Top less so, but they do have some surprises sometimes.

Well, I busted both 89 UD boxes and... one Randy Johnson rookie. If the Dale Murphy team checklist card had been the Ken Griffey, Jr. RC, I'd have been able to retire.

Is it crazy that I thought that it was a Wonderful Terrific Monds auto ball? That's a ball I'd love to have as a novelty if nothing less. Also $5 for a Shakespeare poll is a hell of a deal. Wasn't an ugly stick was it?

Figured I'd show my haul from today in the same thread. Got these all for $35.

It really hurts seeing that Halman, he was such a nice kid and had a very promising future.

On a much happier note, I picked up the Grand Theft Auto series (GTA - GTA 4)on steam for $19.99 during the steam sale.

Well another day at the flea market. Picked up a few cards for $22. Also got a Sega Genesis with all the hookups with Tecmo Super Bowl and SF 2 Tournament Edition for $8. Not pictured on the scans are 4 PC Ripken base cards.

Nice finds, but if the UD boxes weren't sealed they were probably searched.

I love roaming flea markets for deals. Not only cards but other stuff. Best stuff to find for resale?? Original release My Little Pony's!!

If they WERE sealed then they WERE searched. 89 UD came from the factory UNSEALED.
