Maybe a touch... but c'mon, anyone who is anyone knew Jordan was going to be a HOF lock. It will make his autos more expensive for card companies or signing sessions. Which in turn will make any MJ autos truly SPd. I bet there are already cards on Ebay that have "NEWEST HOF MEMBER!!!".

IMO his cards are already high in value, and cant see them raising much from this. He was lock for the HOF since retirement(each time) and nobody has forgotten about him to have the induction "spark" interest.

Next big jump in his cards IMO would be when he passes.

Jordan got into the Hall of Fame???? What a surprise! LOL! I think his cards are high enough that it won't have much effect. He was already a shoe-in for the HOF and obviously is one of (if not the greatest) NBA player of all-time, so it's not like this will catch people by surprise...You may see a spike in the next year or so but they should come back to where they are now after that. (I am not a financial advisor for those looking to invest in Jordan collectibles, BTW).

After reading the last post the only other reason I could see them going up is because, like you said, as his autograph gets more expensive his autographs (which are already SP'd) will be SP'd even more, so prices will go up. It's really more as a result of having fewer autographs, but it's thanks to him OFFICIALLY becoming a HOFer.

"When he passes?"

I don't want to think of that...There was a guy on TV many of you may have heard of (Ken Goldin) who sold an autograph package which guaranteed two autographs of deceased members of the baseball hall of fame. I understand prices go up after they die because they can no longer sign but I think that's kind of unfairly taking advantage of the athlete's death (Or maybe it's just me).

Does the NBA HOF really mean that much? I know it's great but I don't think it compares to the other 3 sports

I wasnt saying I support that or anything else. He asked about prices, and I just was making an informative opinion, based off of the market in the past.......

I purchased my first MJ auto last month and it feels good as a collector to have finally accomplished this. I always wanted to have NBA autos of MJ, Magic & Bird and I got all 3 last month! Who else is there that I need to get, Hakeem, Clyde & David Robinson I guess!

Really - can you name 5 players that were better than him?

From a points scored the only 2 that are better are Kareem and Malone but that has to do more with years played than greatness. If Jordan had played as many years as Kareem he would have outscored him by 5000+ points.

Thats the key word "IF"....The only reason I said it the way I did Mr.Dobber is because I did not want to debate with any one( including you) who 1.2.3.4.5 is ..We all know who the greatest of all time is

Michael Jordan is without a doubt! the greatest of all time. He could take the game over unlike any player before or after his reign. Kobe can't do it like him, Lebron hasn't done it anywhere near as good as MJ(as of yet), back 2 back 2 back(twice!!!), it will probably won't ever get as good as that!

JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE, BRINGS BACK MEMORIES!!!!
