Default My Topps/Star Wars Original Trilogy Autograph Collection

…mostly.

I think I have every actor, voice actor, and puppeteer from the original trilogy on an Original Trilogy themed card (excluding sketchographs and behind the scenes). Since part of my collection was focused on 40th Anniversary (including Archives Signature on 40th base cards) I have some Prequel/Sequel/Animated autographs mixed in (and a few randoms just cuz I like the character).

Phenomenal collection!

I was the just the right age for the original Topps (and Wonder Bread & Cereal) Star Wars card sets and through the ESB and ROTJ releases in '80 and '83, we never even dreamed of autographed Star Wars cards. It took them almost 25 years for Topps to get to them, but just look at what they've come up with in the 24 years that followed.

I hesitate even calling my SW autograph cards a "collection" in the presence of the majesty above, but it does have in it my very first SW autograph pull, Kenny Baker from 2001 Evolution, which I think was the first set with cast autos. That was a real thrill!

Just curious ...
What Star Wars actors signed licensed cards once, and never again?

For example, I'm pretty sure Frank Oz just signed once, right?
I'm legitimately curious. Thanks!

About half of the 2002 AOTC Widevision signers were one and dones.

Pretty much every signer from Topps Star Wars 30th Anniversary were exclusive to that set.

Dave Filoni as a sticker auto is CURRENTLY exclusive to Star Wars Topps Chrome Costco boxes.

Haha, I never miss a chance to show off this one, from the 2002 AOTC Widevision set that Greedo mentioned:

I got it from the No Purchase Necessary Offer on the pack wrapper. It was in a little card sized manila envelope which was in a slight larger padded envelope, and it sat outside in my mailbox for at least a couple of days based on how much mail was on top of it. It's probably still my best pull that wasn't actually a pull.

Great stuff OP. I have a decent little collection, but it is second rate to yours, ha ha.

Speaking of second-rate collections, but here it is anyway, for a little variety.
I didn't get him, but RIP to Michael Pennington who played the befuddled Moff Jerjerrod in Jedi, as seen on a Evolution card in Raymond's collection.

I haven't sold many of the original trilogy autos I pulled over the years, unless I had more than one, although I did part with my only Uncle Owen and Admiral Ozzel autos (both from Evolution), Barrie Holland (from ESB 3D), Felix Silla (from Galactic Files), and an Erik Bauersfeld Ackbar /10 (from TFA 3D) plus a dual of Boba Fett and Bossk. I thought I had a Bossk single, but looking over the cards now, I can see I was wrong. I also sold two Jake Lloyds (regular and sketchagraph) and traded away a really nice young Leia since I still had her from Force Awakens with a matching card of Billie Lourd, her daughter.

So no Han, Luke, or Lando for me, but I did manage Leia, Emperor, R2, 3PO, Chewie, Boba Fett, Prowse Vader, and Yoda. I do have James Earl Jones on a Conan card from Rittenhouse.

Yeah, no.

That’s a top tier collection right there. I always wanted a Frank Oz auto, but I just can’t justify the cost at this point…

Your collection is every bit as good as mine. Biggest difference is that I (mostly) limited my collection to the original trilogy (which results in a much smaller group of signers) so it let my OCD try to get a “complete set”. You seem to be focused on all 6 Lucas Era films. The number of prequel signers is easily triple that of the OT, so I tried to avoid expanding into the prequels. This really adds a lot to your collection, and you have a very impressive list of S-tier signers. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks!
I actually have a few more from the Prequel trilogy and the Clone Wars and Sequel Trilogy. I was trying not to show so many from the Prequels when I posted but I had some of those mixed in on the scans, which I made a while back.
The three original films were going to be my only focus, but the Evolution Update set and Galactic Files mixed in a lot of Prequel characters and I bought a lot of those products. Anyway, here's (most) of the rest.

Nice!

My OCD could not handle this. Trying to get a comprehensive list of all Original Trilogy signers was a nightmare. Keeping up with all of the movies, shows, and Topps releases would be an ever growing rabbit hole.

Love seeing what others have accomplished with their collections. Just wow!

Amazing, love seeing these!

I have nearly 400 different Star Wars autos across everything (not limited to cards, but most are cards, and some aren't on Star Wars items). The biggest glaring omission is Harrison Ford, who is WAY beyond my means at this point. But I'm pretty proud of what I've put together.
