Having fallen victim to PSA stealing it's second card from me in months I feel I need to start tracking the cards being stolen. If you've had any cards taken while in the trusted hands of PSA be through Ebay Authenticity or sending your cards in to be graded feel free to post them here.
This isn't for cards lost through USPS or empty FedEx packages arriving, just the stuff PSA has in their possession and then disappears. No shipping confirmation, no tracking number, just gone. This company should be held accountable for what happens in its offices. Card #1 - 1998 Skybox Autographics Randy Moss While not serial numbered the autograph all but acts as one. Card went missing in the hands of PSA late 2025. ![]() Card #2 - 2001 Donruss Rookie Reprints Barry Bonds Autograph 50/87 Be on the lookout for card 50 of 87 Rookie Reprints Barry Bonds. Card went missing April 2026 while in possession of PSA via ebay authentication. ![]()

you didn't grade these cards? They were just sent to psa to go through authentication?

Some might think it's premature to call the Barry a goner but I've had 5 other cards in the last 10 days arrive at Authentication and all of the cards were processed and cleared in under 24 hours. If anything I hope someone at PSA reads these boards and puts some pressure on someone to cough it up. ![]()

That sucks Puddle, that Bonds is a really cool card. The authentication when it's the Santa Anna or the NJ one has always said picked up from PO on the ones I've had, makes me think the Bonds might be the USPS misdelivering it. Did you get the at authentication eBay message on either?

The April 24th one is probably fine. I called the other day and they said the vault processing time is way backed up. i had to wait a month.

I sent something for authorization, a week after they got it they emailed me about a minor issue (the cert # didn't match the listing) and I had a few days to respond with whether I wanted to offer a partial refund or not. Anyway the point is some things breeze through authentication, some don't.

Are these cards that you purchased and were waiting to receive or cards you sold and got lost on the way to the buyer? I'm just curious how this is handled from the seller's point of view. Obviously, if you were the buyer you got your money back.

Definitely seems whatever goes missing while in the hands of PSA are very valuable cards....Just look at tighejames and others....the guy in Boston has been doing good documenting all these cards gone missing apparently due to PSA employees with sticky fingers. I think this thread would be best served in the grading category of the forums where people will see it and post anything thats gone "missing."

Corporations these days don't spend a penny on anything that doesn't positively impact the bottom line. The only way to get PSA to care more (or spend more) on security would be if there were so many negative incidents that submission volume decreased significantly. |

Hell, just put up fake cameras and don't tell the employees they are fake. That would deter some of it, and that could probably be done for less than $1K out the door.

For those that think the Barry is going to get through authentication and I'm just premature in calling a thief and thief I'm definitely willing to take bets and post the tracking number so we can all follow along.

If the PSA address is still a P.O. Box, its possible its a USPS employee or contractor at the site. From what I understand, though it was awhile ago, the stuff just sits at the Post Office until they pick it up. Otherwise, they need to check the contractors that come through the PSA warehouse which includes cleaners/security/Pest control, etc. I know there was a FedEx facility in Ca where a lot was getting stolen. Maybe the same group of thieves got access to PSA

Just imagine if you had the knowledge of what was packed in those boxes!? I will note that both cards were received into PSA close to the weekend....potentially giving somebody time.
