It looks like Sportlots has removed that order from my orders to fill.

I learned the hard way to be careful about this - if you cancel it will impact your inventory ratio. That may be a non issue, but it has knocked some sellers down a preferred tier.

Let Sportlots do the entire order. I think I've had this twice in 20 years of selling.

Why does no one on Sportlots offer free shipping once you get to a certain quantity ordered? Say like 30 cards or something. See it all the time on eBay so curious why it wouldn't be doable here. Get that the cards are cheaper in some cases but I find myself constantly jumping between sellers because it becomes way less cost effective to order usually more then four to ten cards.

If someone were to buy 30 cards at $0.18 (which happens all the time), the total would be $5.40. After Sportlots fees, Paypal fees, and shipping, the seller would be losing $1-2.

I guess the question would be, could someone sell more cards by raising their prices to say .50 and have free shipping at a higher quantity purchased. I think shipping costs definitely carry a stigma for buyers and with the Sportlots UI now, it's definitely easier to buy bulk from one seller. Maybe it doesn't work for this site but would be a curious experiment.

The system has sellers shipping cost linked to the number of cards sold. If the cost was linked to how much was spend (each seller) then it would be more favorable to the sellers to have free shipping. Free shipping with $50 spent is better for the seller then free shipping for 50 cards. Shipping cost from the box is the actual cost.

Plus, there are a lot of buyers like me that can only find a few cards from one seller.

I’ve sold there for over 20 years. I used to offer free shipping from orders of 100 cards (this was before sportlots box). I stopped when shipping got more expensive. I think on I could ship 100 cards for 4-5 bucks, so on order for 100 .18 cards I could just do OK. Now it 8-9 to ship those cards and I can’t make it work.

The card display is based on seller status, a rough estimate of shipping costs and card prices. I suspect if you tried to price cards a bit higher and reduce shipping costs that your sales would drop as your cards wouldn’t be seeing in the first screen.

I haven't used Sportlots in years. I'm in Canada. I purchased a box order, which I'm going to have sent to me.

What sort of fees can I expect these days having a box order sent up to Canada?

Sportslots - Where box orders take a full month because sellers claim order fulfilled day #1, but don't ship out until 3 weeks later.

This new cart is almost unusable.

I have it sorted by seller to check postage rates...so, all I can see on this screen is the qty of cards in my cart from this seller, and the amount....How the F*CK is one supposed to then see what specific cards they are? Clicking on name opens their whole inventory, clicking on feedback opens postage rates...

OK, let's move to the Shipping Rates tab...OK, now I can see the postage a little easier, but what is this $5.01 card i have in my cart from 643cards? Can't tell here...

Lets try sorting it by Set. Oh, hey there is a list of all the cards I have in my cart...NO seller info is found on this screen though. I guess I have to manually scroll through and look for a $5.01 card. Great. That's efficient. I've got things from 40 sellers in my cart, this should only take 2-3 hours to make sure I am not overpaying for anything. Can't wait until I try looking for a $2 card.

What am I missing, surely I am missing something here...this can't be the way it is now, right? This design CAN'T be intentional, right?

This is just awful design/layout/execution, glad I pulled my inventory down months ago

Eff me, it got worse.

So, back to sorted by set...scroll down until i see a $5.01 card.....what is it you ask?

I'd love to know...all I can tell from here is that it is a 2021 Topps Update Gold [BB]

This is laughably bad. @sportlots, this is a big misfire on your part.

Wow, "group by none" gets what I need in another wildly inefficient manner however.

Second tab of Sort by seller finally gets the view I need...seems you could still have the postage rates incorporated on this page pretty easily...still had to jump back & forth every few sellers to ensure postage wasn't a problem

woof, no wonder I've been putting off clearing my card for months...only cost me about a dozen cards that were scooped up while they were rotting away in my cart

I'm going to start selling some $1-5 stuff on Sportlots. I think I have a handle on how the shipping works, but I'm not sure what to do with Canada shipping.

Does anyone have a rough idea what it costs to ship a bubble mailer with 10 or less cards to Canada right now?

Also, on the box shipping, I assume the point of that is to be able to send multiple orders to Sportlots at once. Is there an accepted timeframe to wait for more orders?

Thank you!

Two weeks ago I started building up my Save for Later cards. Got a good number of cards and then started to figure out which ones I want to buy now. I had one that I want to make an offer to as his price was high. Yesterday I made my offer and was going to check out when he accepts or declined tomorrow. This morning, I check and he had not accepted but all the cards were still in my cart as I double checked to see if I wanted any more. He accepted just a few minutes ago so great but then I find out that the one seller that had half of the cards I want went on vacation for a week. I had to check out and pay, or I would not get that card at that price. A real bummer only getting half what I want this time.

Looks like my next purchase will be a small one also.

Last time I did it it was like $16. I think I have been selling for 6-7 years on sportlots and I have only ever had a handful of orders from Canada where they paid for direct shipping. Best thing to do is just find an address on each side of the country and enter that into whatever shipping service I assume you use and that would give you a cost to base off of.

personally, I usually get enough box orders to make a shipment out ever 10-15 days. I have rarely had a question or complaint on my time frame with that. I have recently begun using box orders for purchases and for the most part I seem to see cards roll in in roughly the same time frame to may be a month. That being said I have 2 outstanding currently that are over a month outstanding.

I ship my box orders to SL every Monday. I usually have about 30 or so per week that I'm able to consolidate into the one shipment.

My last order something went wrong. No sure if it was me or their system. I had all cards marked as budget when I put them in my cart, but one went to the box and other went to premium. I let him know about 3 minutes after I paid and he take care of it fast. Not like COMC.

It appears I will be doing 2 more small order vs one larger one. Due to sellers being on vacation and I have lost a few cards as I was waiting for members to get back from vacation. He did ask if we would do a larger order instead of a lot of small order to spread the PayPal fees around. It appears to me for me it will not work that well. I miss out on cards or sellers go on vacation when I'm going to buy.

I also found out that some sellers have shipping for one card around a dollar which is fair. but for 2 cards it's more than $5.00. As I want 2 or 3 cards it is best for me to make 3 orders from them. Going to the box is best for them but still need enough cards in the box to make it worth going to the box. Yes I understand I can have card in the box for a long time.

I offer PWE for up to 4 cards in Canada ($2.30) - I think I get 1-2 orders a month that way, out of 75 total in an average month. (i'd say 60% are box, 10% are US bubble mailers, 25% US PWE).

I have prices listed for bubble mailers, but I honestly can't remember the last one I've sent. They start at $12 (I'm not even sure what I'd pay if I recieved an order).

Most Canada cusotmers use the sportlots box these days in my experience.

Got a huge "Your Seller Loot expires in ~48 hours" notice. Basically I'm going to lose everything. I also noticed that the system forces you to use loot if you are buying from a given seller.

Loot doesn't sway my purchases with particular sellers, but this is annoying. Is the program being phased out?
