low end for me is dead and not worth it. Way too many scammers claiming damage now days. On the other hand my slabbed stuff is doing fantastic. Just listed a card the other day for $275 that sold less than 3 hrs after it was listed for $50 more than the last previous sale.
I have a couple dozen Ohtani and Judge PSA 10's stashed away waiting for the season to start. Should be a decent year sales wise. |

We're about to get a good test of how strong the market actually is. One of my big investments is Sebastian Walcott. He is now out for the year. As of last night he made up 6.3% of my total listed inventory. I've lowered my price by 40-60% across the board, to roughly 80% of his October price. That should be roughly 60-70% of his current (as of yesterday) price.
The stronger the market, the more I will sell. In last year's market I would have sold 100% of my loot pretty quickly, because the guys who were out for the year didn't budge in price. This year hasn't been as strong as last year, but still strong. I put some at auction with the BIN price, some at 1˘/free shipping auction, and about 2/3 at BIN with the lower price.

How do you handle buyers that add items to their cart and ask for a discount? The first time it happened I had no idea what was going on and the buyer cancelled on day 4 right before I could give a non-payer strike.
Right now I've got two of those active right now. One of them I can give a non-payment strike on the 24th....hopefully right at midnight. The other one I just messaged back and said no thank you, but the inventory is still tied up. I don't like cancelling orders, but in these cases I might just have to. FWIW, between the two it's like 9 items. I can't imagine that is good for your account.

Updating the second one, I had some conversation with the buyer and they requested the cancel just a few hours after requesting the invoice.

Hard keeping inventory of either. Not a bad problem. PSA fee bump does increase the level of difficulty keeping the slab slide flowing. |

Have yall ever had a card just now show up in eBay searches at all? I just posted about 10 cards and all of them are now showing up in search results except this specific card. I have signed out and searched by item number and it doesnt show up.

The bottom line is my inventory was tied up for four days with that one buyer, so I gave them a non-pay strike. The other one was handled pretty quickly.

I've made a focus of selling more low end cards on eBay the past 6 months and have had really good success. About 90% of my sales have been under $20 so I'm able to ship under $1 via ESE. Crazy now how Ground Advantage is typically over $5. I've already achieved Top Rated Seller status and in February I've sold 30 cards which is my best month ever. I love going to shows and digging through $1-5 boxes and finding things I can sell for $5-10 on eBay. It's going well of late.
I feel like I no longer need to send low end cards to COMC due to the higher processing fees and all the changes they have made.

On my Seller's Hub Overview: 2870 active listings. When I go into my active lisings; Showing 1-200 out of 2869. QTY: 2860 When I search my store from my buying account: Active listings, 2826. On top of that, I show 6 unsold and not relisted on the Overview (which I know is correct, it's my nightly auctions that didn't sell), but when I click on that it shows zero listings. I know something wonky was going on in the backend because I had a slow day on Friday, then woke up to zero sales on Saturday morning. That didn't even happen during the October doldrums. I always sell a few items overnight. I've been averaging 18 a day over the last ~8 weeks. It's not quite 50% that sell overnight, but it's close enough that this was a massive deviation from the norm.

Nothing like the WBC to kill sales.

I bought the Rollo label printer, bought the Armalope heavy 4x6 envelopes, and charge $1.25 postage. Haven't had an issue and have sent maybe 200+ cards out that way. To me, it's all found money and it's not a lot of extra work. I put on some music and scan, scan, scan. I also think it's hit and miss on what postal office or hub your envelopes are going through from hearing stories in the other thread. Overall I think the market is slow and no matter the price level of the cards, no one is really pumping up prices. You can blame the economy, Fanatics flooding the market, or just buyers getting smarter with their choices. Early morning ramblings, Vinny PS: I lived through the flood of cards in the late 80s. I have a box of about 800 Bernie Williams rookies that I paid maybe 22˘ each for. Not sure if I'd get $1 for a few singles of them and lots don't sell. Fanatics is creating the next dead era.

I'm sad that Microsoft Lens officially is gone today. Anyone found another IOS app that works the same and just as good? I've tried out a few today, but all of them take me much longer and some save as a PDF instead of photo which means more steps.
Otherwise, LMK what scanner to get for cards $20-$250 that you can scan in toploader that are clean, fast, don't look like crap, and won't damage the cards.

I'm currently trying Notebloc. It's definitely slower than Lens, but is the best I've tested so far. I won't really know until I start buying en masse again in April or May. So far all it's been is one or two base BCA at a time. While slower, it's at least acceptable. If you come up with something better than that, defnitely let us know. I'm not looking for a flatbed scanner, because I want to make the refractors to refract.

For those of you with an eBay store, you have about 2 weeks to use your coupon for supplies before the 1st quarter ends. I know some don't use it, but for those who do, this is your reminder.
