I go to lcs and I see these poor saps opening absolute prizm and optic for 800-1000 dollars

It is so incredibly awkward to watch these in store breaks

People losing 800 dollars in 5 minutes

Both can exist at the same time. The market is the market regardless to any of our opinions about the product. The overall market is heavily skewed towards breaking, like it or not. So the real value is what they are able to get. With that being said, though, I pulled up one earlier today and the breaker got hammered on his sales. I haven't had a chance to watch any prime time breaks to see if they are better or not. This one jumped hard and fast, and I expect a strong pull back with stagnation. Then it will crawl back upwards slower due to the chase cards.

While I'm really not that bummed I got skunked based on aesthetics of these cards, I am very concerned going forward on trying to procure a product I actually want to rip. 0-10 on recent EQL, and it's getting really tough to land anything desirable from Topps website from a regular drop. At least I got 1 hobby of chrome NBA at MSRP.........I may be exiting the hobby after only being back about 3-4 years now, and not by choice.....

This is exactly what fanatics want. Make it that hard you either leave or hit the breaks because its the only option (other than buying singles)

I love the look of the oil spills. A handful of others look nice as well.

I am just gonna stick to singles on this one. I could care less for the autos. Ill pick up some more limited offerings of players I like though.

Glad I have hit a few early BIN's while some were undervalued.

Not being dramatic, not being salty...just being honest. It feels so lazy and AI-created.
The finishers refractor is about the only thing I've liked that I've seen so far.
I think going simpler and more like the 90s finest would have been a better choice on this product.

I just went on like a 30 minute tirade to Topps customer service (Justine). We'll see how fast nothing gets done.

Fanatics did go simple with 2023 Finest Flashbacks baseball (1 refractor per box, 1 auto per case). They raised the price 15%, lowered production 12%, and then killed the product line when it didn't sell.

2024 would have been 1997 finest which really stung.
