Probably a lot of the top players are involved in gambling sponsorships. I know Jokic is hella enmeshed in Serbian gambling companies. Lebron obviously.

Pretty wild behavior IMO. Giannis will have made what 400 million dollars on salary alone? What do you even need more money than that for? Certainly not for anything worth selling your supposed scruples for.

This is a logical fallacy that sadly far too many people fell for in 2024. People don’t compare themselves to the average; they compare themselves to their peer group. As they accumulate wealth, they enter new and wealthier peer groups which become the new comparators. There’s no such thing as enough. Giannis showed who he was when he pushed over that ladder in Philadelphia when the arena worker just wanted to take down the nets and go home. This latest stunt is more of the same.

Giannis doesn't give a sh!t.

He's not of the peer group you mention. He's seen all around MKE doing regular family stuff all of the time. (Aaron Rodgers did the same in GB at the height of his popularity) Dude literally takes his kids to random swimming lessons in MKE by himself (I know because my kid goes to the same swim school). No one says a word to him and leaves him alone. He's not out here searching for the next red carpet event or club to go to. He raises his family at home and plays basketball. That's it.

Economic peer group, not social peer group. All accounts are that Giannis couldn’t afford shoes growing up and shared a pair with his brothers. Kalshi is facing class-action lawsuits for targeting youth in their marketing campaigns. A guy who remembers his previous economic peer group never signs on to that. One who now sees his economic peer group as other rich athletes who want to accumulate more wealth regardless of social cost does.

Makes me wonder how much of this he actually understands and how much of it is just agents giving him endorsement deals akin to getting a box of cards to sign and send back.

Wouldn't be super surprised either way. Hopefully it's the latter but who knows?

I highly doubt Giannis is checking out every deal to promote a company. Almost every player has an agent bring them a deal saying hey for this much $$ you have to do this. Beyond what does this company do? I doubt many players check into them as they are trusting that there agents have done there jobs and checked out this company before bringing the deal to the player to sign.

Pretty sure he didn't send all of them back either...

Man you're still in this thread???

Take the L and leave bro while you're way behind.

And yes, Shams is a moron. He's reported trades in the past that didn't happen.

Second time you've stated this. Please show me where he reported these trades.

Shortly after the deadline passed, Antetokounmpo wrote "Legends don't chase. They attract" in an Instagram post alongside an expletive-laden clip from the film "The Wolf of Wall Street" where Leonardo DiCaprio's character says he's not leaving his job.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...nt-title-drive

Wait -- does he not realize the irony in the video he posted? This was the moment that ultimately led to the downfall of DiCaprio's character, who was based on real-life stockbroker, Jordan Belfort. The character could have chosen to walk away from his firm and negotiate a deal to avoid prison, but in the moment depicted in the video, he impulsively and defiantly decided to stay and it ultimately led to his life and career being destroyed.

Giannis was either trolling or is an idiot savant.

Shams breaks everything now with Woj done. I've yet to ever see anyone call his reporting BS besides you fools with the Giannis stuff (that other reporters also report), but sure Shams is the moron. You've shown yourself to be rather clueless over the years. Sit this out.

Also, oshee mysteriously stopped showing up on this forum after he was pressed. Can't imagine why!

Disappeared and pressed? I'm here....just like Giannis is with the Bucks and will continue to be. I have been right on the Giannis stuff and you have been proven to be wrong, numerous times. You are still wrong. So not sure what you are trying to still even argue. Are you going to ask me if Giannis gets charged and is guilty of murder if the Bucks should still keep him?

In the past Shams has had multiple trades he called a done deal and they never got off the ground.

If you want to be Woj, you can't get it wrong.

You can research this yourself.

You want some more guesses? Or scared to look even dumber again?

You'll get it right eventually.

Nah you're making the claims, you're the one that has to present examples.

I can't recall the last trade shams called that was wrong. In the instance of Giannis, I've gone back through all of Shams posts and not once has he called Giannis being traded. I can present the Giannis ones if you like? You'll have to find me his other trade calls.

I said before the deadline it was quite unlikely he got moved, and I also said if he's still a Buck come the start of 26-27 to just shred me to pieces. I don't actually care if he does get moved or not. I have no skin in it. Oshee is just being unrealistic, and my actual problem with him is that he likes to be the 'answer this this and this' and when he's pressed to do the same he disappears. He's a fraud like yourself. You've made so many claims over the years that are so dumb (most of your Draymond Green comments!)

He won't present any. This is his shtick.

Ba ha.

Ok bullfrog. Yet here you are trolling these Bucks fans for a year all the while you've been 100% wrong.

What a fool.

Draymond is trash dude. He's been awful and would be a nobody without Steph.

Kinda like a Bruce Bowen without Duncan etc

Maybe Shams has picked his game up but a very simple google search will show he's been way off on multiple trades and been called out for it.

The more you say dumb stuff like that doesn't make it true.

Also look, you still aren't giving examples of inacurrate reporting from Shams. SHOCKER!

You're such a tool.

The onus is on you. You're making the claim. I've done the search and found nothing. Please, present your evidence for these claims.

There isn’t any evidence. Shhh…

Rumors that didn’t come to fruition? Yes

I have yet to find a trade he was wrong about

This is where DRob tells you they are the same thing even though they aren’t

Nah, that's not his shtick. What he does is ignore it, not post and 3 months later repeat the same incorrect thing.

Rinse and repeat.
